Looks like the Softies are making a comeback as well even though they're actually being labeled as plush in those instagram images.

I think Gusty is there because she's popular. Maybe she sold more then others in the reissue set? She was also aggravatingly enough one of the htf store exclusive figures from Loyal Subjects.

I genuinely don't remember, but is Gusty not in Catrina? Not even in the fashion show at the end?

She is an earlier release than the movie, toy-wise.

Don't think so? It's been a while since I last watched it.

I actually just went and youtubed it, and she's not. Just Sparkler and Powder. I guess that makes sense.

Gusty is a weird one generally, though. I still think she pushed into the UK set where she wasn't originally invited.

She is popular; she'll sell well.

Yeah Gusty's first appearance is in the movie. I have a list of which ponies appear in the cartoons (+ which eps/specials they're in etc) here :)

I don't fully understand why she's in the set, but I'm glad she is. :) The more the merrier if you ask me. She looks really good, I love the shade of green they used for her hair.

I think I see a tiny yellow bow in Bow Tie's hair where one of her pigtails are.  It might be the tail bow though.

I'm super excited for the Celestial Ponies! The Mane 6... not so much.

If they were going to release the Mane 6 yet again, why not put them in alternate poses this time? It doesn't even have to be brand new G1 poses (though I would love that) but just alternate G1 poses that already exist. I'd love to have a Minty in a Powder sky-gazing pose! Actually, I'd love to have a Minty in any other pose!

I'd love other Twinkle-eyed ponies. The 2nd wave, to me, was far more interesting (though I love Fizzy)!

Those aren't the mane six.

I feel you.

I have a christmas card I was given when I was maybe 5 or 6 which has Powder on it.
But of course the UK never had her at all. I'm still waiting, after 30 years.
Basic Fun have covered pretty much all the other gaps the UK had in those early adults - just Skyflier and Powder left.

It sucks that they're in a more obscure, thus probably not profitable pose. (Though I still struggle to think they will leave Fizzy as the only one in that pose. I get she's a cult classic in the line, but even so, it's a big commitment...)

I definitely agree with you. Butterscotch in any new pose? Yes please!!

Can we please not call the collector ponies 'mane six'? That's a G4 term and it doesn't apply to the original pony release. They were never meant as that kind of repetitive core group, and really, the anniversary rerelease is marking them as the original six ponies, not as a 'mane 6'.

Hasbro might try to pass them off as the original mane six, but they weren't, and we don't need to follow suit. The M6 weren't based on these girls anyway.
