I got an email from Etsy today, Rheanon McDonald has had her Etsy account suspended until she responds to my dispute.

I don't know if I am being overly paranoid but I think I may cancel an order that just went through without sending it to the customer.

Why?

Her name is Marlys McDonald and she also lives in Fargo ND. Perhaps they aren't related (or the same person) but I don't feel like chancing it...

Same last name same town, I hate to say it but I'm thinking its either her using a different name or maybe using the name of a relative? What is the mailing address could check it out and see if it matches Rheanon Mcdonalds address.

It isn't the same place to ship to. The one she used before was an apartment but this is just a street address. Even if it is just a relative, it feels like she's attempting to go around whatever penalties Etsy finally placed upon her. 

And, I just looked at her profile and it says she joined today...........

I wonder what would happen if you marked the pony as shipped, but didn't actually send it? See if she files 'not received' in two days again? Same pattern = same person to me!

Archi you are not being paranoid. I had a look on google and they are related and yes she is trying to get round the Etsy ban.

I decided not to be sneaky about it because I don't want to give her/them any wiggle room to allow Etsy to side with them.

I declined the sale and gave this message :

I have a suspicion that you are directly related to someone with whom I had a disagreeable interaction  previously. I am sorry if you are not but I have given it much thought and do not feel good about this sale. It feels as if that person is attempting to circumvent penalties placed upon them through their own actions.

wow what a cheek!   these scamming types usually do do this kind of thing though so you always have to be on your guard. You were right to be suspicious in this case! I think you did the right thing BTW doing the decline and the polite message

and thanks for the heads up about her on ebay too. I just added her to my blocked bidder/buyer list

Well, I eventually got the second box I mailed her returned to me.  There is no "return to sender" stamp or anything and the label is intact.  It's one of those smaller labels from the APO so the tracking number isn't shown and I have no idea where this thing has been all this time.  WEIRD.  I'm going to relist the ponies but I will watch out for anyone trying to buy them from ND!
