I recently purchased some BIN's thru ebay for some shortcake items where I had to pay right away. I contacted the seller to see if I could get a shipping discount etc. The seller had to do two refunds and now my refunds are on hold while paypal is being stupid nosey. Has this ever happened to you? I want my darn money, and Im so ticked at them right now . They better give me my money !! grrr to paypal
-
Oh geez..I have never heard of them doing that with a refund. :argh:
Paypal is becoming quite ridiculous anymore if you ask me?
But do let us know how this plays out as I am curious as to why they are holding the money?
-
actually i *thought* that I had refunded a lovely arena member over a month ago.... but for some reason paypal put a HOLD on my refund to her. This sounds similarly bizarre
-
Any update on the refund?
-
Same thing just happened to me, Paypal said it was because the original bank transfer hadn't been cleared yet and the funds will be released to me as soon as that happens. Did you get a message like that?
-
Hmm..I guess that makes sense babystarz. I am glad to hear though that it is not anything major.
-
Paypal. Nothing surprises me these days when it comes to their holding monies :yikes:
I havent had anything like that happen to me with refunds yet thankfully. I hope they release your funds soon

Generally if you're doing a refund and the person's paypal doesn't have a balance to cover it, there is a waiting period. They have to transfer the mnoey from the person's bank and then to you. And then if the person's bank doesn't have enough money to cover it paypal will keep trying every 5 days until they get the funds.

Was that the case with Crimson's refund?
-
Who knows. But I have a refund I'm waiting for that is now "pending" until April 5th because the eCheck used to issue the refund bounced. Meaning I will have been waiting about 3 weeks for a refund. I can't completely blame paypal on that one, since it seems the seller's lack of funds is what caused the problem.
-
Well yeah I don't blame Paypal at all in that case. I'm wondering if all refunds that people have experienced being held were cause of e-checks. In which case it's a non-issue.

My refund from an ebay transaction is also on hold.
