[2022 Ref Sheet] Merry Anvil

Since it's been several years since I last drew them, I thought it was time to make my ponysona, Merry Anvil, a new reference sheet! I wasn't terribly happy with some aspects of their design so they got a bit of a redesign, as well. They never really had a proper ref before, but now they do <3 I'm quite happy with how it came out!

Thank you so much! Yeah, the symbol is a combination of a couple different things that mean a lot to me. I'm actually an artist blacksmith/metalworker by trade, so I themed Merry Anvil around blacksmithing! One of my hobbies is also collecting and studying swords, particularly historical ones, so I wanted to add the sword in there as well. I just really love the craftsmanship of them, the way you can tell what smith made what sword based on their unique smithing style is super neat.

Yes, they have eyeglasses! I wear glasses IRL so I figured it would be cute for Merry Anvil to have them as well ^u^

My father's father was a blacksmith and my mother's father was a carpenter. I didn’t become either, although both are very interesting professions. And there are no other blacksmiths or carpenters in the family, which is a pity.  It would have been really great for someone to have "followed in their footsteps".

Oh, I love swords! It would be great to own a sword, maybe one day… when I get rich!  Swords are really expensive (I always admire them at medieval events where they are on sale) and I fully understand that. Not very easy or quick forging.
