Rockin Beat hair question
« on: October 03, 2021, 12:46:46 PM »
I always assumed all the non-Nirvana Rockin Beat ponies had crimped hair MOC, but I recently noticed it’s actually only Sweet Notes (based on a few wiki images) - can anyone confirm?

It's only Sweet Notes. I had all four from new and she's the only one that's crimpy.

There are hair variations with the others, some have curly, some straight, some straight/curly combinations, some different shades of hair (blue v purple for Pretty Beat, red v red orange for Tuneful) depending mostly on where they were sold. But no other crimped ones.

The only other crimped ponies I can think of right now are the Great Hair girls.

The 3 sundazzle ponies (with sweetheart sister poses) have crimped hair too. Actually the color scheme of Sweet Notes is very similar to Sundazzle Sunbeam.

And Taffeta, thanks for confirming some Tunefuls have red and others orange hair. I'm in search of her, and have definitely noticed both hair colors. I wondered if the orange hair was a lighting thing or an age thing. Good to know it's just a variant thing :)

Ah, that's true. So they do. I always forget them as they weren't sold here.

Orange-red Tuneful (Tunefull) is more common in North America. Red is more common in Europe. That's basically how it seems to pan out. I think Australia etc mostly had US packaging for these, so probably also have red-orange but I am not 100%.

Thanks Taffeta! I think I just always assumed because of the Sundazzles' uniformity that Rockin Beats were the same. I guess they're all meant to be different members of a band so their hair reflects that individuality haha!
