matte or glossy mod podge?

Do you use matte or glossy mod podge? Can you post a photo of your custom with whichever finish you used?

I have both but suddenly cannot remember which one is "better" to use.

I only use Mod Podge Gloss on the eyes. I use Testors Dullcote for everything else. Mod Podge can get sticky over time.

I'm only able to use mod podge. would you forego it completely rather than use it?

I think if it's between Mod Podge and not protecting your customs, mod podge will at least prevent your hard work from chipping.
I use a matte krylon spray and some duraclear glossy varnish for eyes and symbols.

I used ModPodge matte all the years and then? Ponies got sticky over time, symbols tend to start bleeding and eye colors started to merge so the eye of one of my customs I purchased is now all red which wasn't when I purchased her.
I can only recommend DuraClear UltraMatte from Americana and I am in Germany, so t's not easy to get this stuff but it's 100% doing its job, even with an airbrush I can easily apply it.

Yeah, seconding what Pandabear says. Mod Podge is not a good sealer. If you live in a hot climate it goes tacky and can ruin the custom. I would actually go without sealer rather than use Mod Podge. How often are customs being handled? Sitting on a shelf they are safe. Sticky ponies attract dust and cat hair that you cannot get off even scrubbing with a toothbrush. I know from experience.

I third what Panda says :( I used ModPodge for a while then had a bad experience when it went tacky and ruined a couple of my customs. I now use Vallejo polyurethane varnish :)

I'm hoping my spray-on Testor's Dullcote is a good sealer xxx I hate when sealer is sticky &n can't handle heat. Especially when sealing an FBR before styling the hair. Melty sealer is not good...
My Mascots (so far): Twisty Tail, G2 Trixiebelle, Starcatcher, Twilight Sparkle. All variants & pictures of these are appreciated. Piccies courtesy of Griffin, Blumiere, Littlebabyribbon, & Starscout

I used to only use mod podge till my customs started becoming gummy (mod podge is basically just strong white glue) but i have NEVER had a issue with durlux americana, if you have a michaels near you theres a entire section with sealers to look at

I use modpodge Matte to seal my spray painted bases. I water it down to prevent brush strokes.
I only use gloss for eyes and my flower accents.
