Do you need to cover for sunfading per se?
« on: July 27, 2021, 09:29:27 AM »
Hello everyone,

I plan on sunfading taf yum yum (repinked) and surfrider (also repinked). They have a lot of pink marks on them. Surf rider only has them on her head.

My question is, do you need to cover the body parts that don't have marks, or can you just set them in the sun as is?

It's going to be the italian sun for about a week and a half. Then it will be the dutch 'sun', if we have any.

If you know, please let me know.

Cheers,

Luke

I don't. I only cover hair and painted bits, but I have only faded white ponies so far...

I cover everything but the parts that need fading, just in case :) I just wrap the pony up in paper towels, never bothered with covering things with tempera paint etc. (then again, I've never had to fade anything *on* a symbol)
