Restoring pearly baby sea ponies

Is it possible to restore pearly baby sea ponies the ones I own have lost their pearly effect.
Is there something that can make a similar effect that i could use without ruining them.

There are various Pearlizing mediums that may be able to help, although I'm not familiar with a particular one that looks similar.
