Looks like Hitch is getting his own 6in single finally
https://www.mlpmerch.com/2021/11/walmartcom-lists-6-inch-rockin-ranger.html

Yay!  He looks good!  And he has so many fun accessories, like that cool vest and the clip on wings and the sheriff belt.  The hat looks a little strange on him somehow, but I like the idea.

Still not wild about the molded hair, but I'm not sure how else his hairstyle could have been replicated   I think it is nice that it is at least flocked  :)
Thanks to Shimmlight for the new avatar image

I agree about being able to somewhat replicate his hair. Even though they attempted with Zipp, it's still not well replicated as they could have actually made the back curl shorter and still use the stuff to stiffen it to give it shape unless it had to do with the number of rows for the hair (I haven't combed my Zipp's hair out yet to see)
My DeviantArt, why not drop by and take a look!

I combed out my Zipp a bit ago. I'm too lazy to get up to compare, but here's her plugs:

I don't see why they couldn't have just given her shorter hair either. I'd prefer either super short or inaccurately really long (I love her hair colors). Combed out it's still rather short.

Heh, love the drawing, tealeaf! And yeah, I agree. Zipp has such gorgeous colors, so for her brushables, I'd much rather they just go with the normal long hair rather than the weird gelled curl thing. Just let those who really want a more on-model Zipp give her a cut.

Haha everyone in this thread keeps saying how the G5 faces look much better in person than in online photos and I was privately thinking "They must be exaggerating..." But then I saw the G5's up close today for the first time and YES they are so much better in person! How do the photos look bad every single time? XD It's like each stock photo went for the angle that made the faces the absolute chubbiest on purpose.

I know, right?!? They look so awful in photos but in person they're alright! I don't understand how they've managed to be so consistent with this :p

Has anyone attempted a tail swap with the moulded ponies yet?

LOL, it's true!  Like their eyes look crazed in photos but fine in real life.

I think part of it is that some stock photos (especially the earlier ones) aren't real toys, but CGI models.  Which adds a layer of uncanniness to them.

I like Hitch's accessories.  A lot of them seem to be more park ranger / forest ranger oriented than sheriff oriented, which makes sense with his animal connection.  Also that bunny is sooo cute!

The poseable 3" Hitch is scheduled for Wave 3 of the Crystal Adventure sets.

Which seems to be expected in December or January.

I think right now a lot of stores have Wave 2:

Not my Target, though;  they broke the mold by getting a case that had NOTHING BUT ZIPP.   NO ONE else!  I don't even know what's going on anymore lol . . .

Kind of interesting to see the orange pony "not shortpacked" after Applejack was left out of so many G4 sets!  (But Sunny is the main protagonist so I guess that makes sense.)

The way they're arranged makes it look like Sunny has a high pony tail hairdo

Still not sure about this gen and I don't get out anymore to see them in person. Not sure if they are worth ordering online.

Depending on where you live/how much it costs to ship I would try to get one pony to see how you like it, because they really do look better in person. If it doesn't meet expectations, I wouldn't consider it a complete loss, because I see it as "well, I can say I own at least one pony from this gen". The poseables might be the best we have ATM, they're very cute, photogenic, and there's a decent variety of characters. Second best are the 6" styling size ponies. The 3" brushables aren't that good and very hard to come by.

One of the best parts of G5 are their ears. They're so cute and horsey! And if you get a poseable or a 6" of Pipp or Zipp, they have very pretty wings. The poseable pegasus wings can move, too!

I'm glad that they stopped giving the boys dull colors and made them just as colorful as the g1 and g2 boys again.

Haven't seen anyone else share these yet, but a Sunny lantern and a Pipp Princess Petals popped up on Amazon.

One of Pipp's accessories is a tiny toy of HERSELF!  When I was a kid I used to pretend my single Mommy Charm was a toy for my baby ponies, so this pleases me greatly.

I like the removable wings / horn for the lantern set, I think that will have a lot of playability for kids who saw the movie.
