Nintendo just didn't have much beyond Animal Crossing this year, did they? And the funny thing is that Animal Crossing was originally slated to be a late 2019 title, so if that had come to fruition this year would have been empty as can be.

A 3D Mario collection would be a great release...among solid, new games...

I was excited to see a new Mario Kart. But sadly it is just a gimmick. It doesn't seem like a game that would function stand-alone. I'm sure it will be great fun for kids, though. Might have been neat back when I was in elementary school. But nowadays I just want a game to be a game.

Super Mario 3D World addition is exciting, but I played the game pretty extensively on Wii U so I hope it's not $60.
Why would they only offer a digital title for a limited time?
Mariokart live looks really cool! Too bad a lot of people have carpeted floors.
MyNintendo finally having physical rewards that are cool???
Why did it take so long for the ports of older games, too? It's exciting to me because I've never played these games before (my emulation experience is like, DS only ha). Again, why is this a limited time?

That Mario Kart game looks really inventive! I like how you drive the car around the house once to 'mark the track' and then you can play against others. That's clever! I agree I think kids will have the most fun with it. It's a gimmick, but it's cool to see how technology evolves over time.

The limited time only thing is crap. Nintendo please stop feeding scalpers.

Kids and kids at heart could use toys and diorama pieces to really jazz up their race tracks. It is SO cool!

Oh, it will be. Nintendo has even charged $60 for Wii U ports that weren't even $60 when they originally released on the Wii U. (Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze).

May just stick with the ports of N64+ games then. At least those are bundled together, makes it feel more worthwhile.

$60 for three 3D games isn't really bad though.

I have all these games on their original platforms so it isn't really worth it to me to get them.  My brother might want some of them, though.

Oh no, I think it's a good price for the three, but if I was expected to buy them all separately I would've just tried to emulate.

I think it's cool for the people who wanted this. I love Mario 64 and Sunshine, but those games are easy to emulate, and I don't really have the need to play those portable.

Mario 35 is a funny idea. I like Tetris 99, but I don't know if I'll play this one. Mario 1 isn't my favourite out of the NES Marios. The limited time on it is weird. Why is everything limited? I guess because of it being for his *35th* anniversary, but wasn't Mario Maker for his 30th? That one wasn't a limited release...

I would've loved a real, proper Mario Kart. This RC AR thing is not what I wanted at all. Very disappointed. I know there were rumours about a new Mario Kart but I'm really let down by this. I guess you would have to play with this outside on the driveway because I don't think most people would have room to play with this inside. And I would think you would, ideally, have to play with these on hard ground, I remember RC toys having a hard time moving on carpet.

I could go on, but I say this as a hardcore Mario Karter that had Mario Kart 9 on the top of my wishlist for future Nintendo games. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was fine for a while, and even though it's still selling well, I don't think anyone actually plays it. There's only ever 5 people in the lobbies at most and I'm always playing against the same people. :( Plus it's a tease seeing Mario Kart Tour with a great roster, I want to play as Pauline on console!

In short, this Direct would've been a bigger deal for me if I was still 12 or 13. Sorry Mario, you had your chance of being my favourite franchise, but you had to go and keep releasing "New Super Mario" games! I got burnt out, I'm still burnt out! Rayman reclaimed the throne! :devious:

I do understand. I'm used to paying less for vg Collections that have a lot more games to choose from.

I saw the announcement for this the other day.  Super Mario Sunshne was one of my favorite Mario games.  My Gamecube stopped working after lightening hit my house so I haven't been able to play my Gamecube games for a long time.

Is the Super Mario 3D All Stars game limited time?

I wish the game wasn’t limited.  It will be a while before I can get a copy.  Has anyone played the 3D all stars game?  I’m hearing mixed reviews on it.
