Welcome to Round 3 of
The Avatar Exchange!

What’s the Avatar Exchange?

Each round you'll get a secret partner (who you will keep secret until you reveal the avatar) and will have three weeks to deliver an avatar based on your partner's form. The artwork itself can be traditionally or digitally made, as long as it is turned into a digital icon ready for your partner to use. The exchange will run for as long as there is interest, and you can sign up for as many rounds as you like. Feel free to jump in at any time!

Guidelines:

• You should deliver two versions of your icon: a 150x150 version for use here at the Arena (under 60k, please) and a larger, un-cropped version. If you do pixel ponies, the second can be waived as a larger version may not exist.
• Original artwork only, please (all art should be made by you, and please do not use current or old adoptable bases unless you modify the lineart significantly to make it unique for your partner).
• Please deliver on time. If you have not delivered on time for the round, your ability to participate in future exchanges will be suspended until you make up your part.
• Artwork should abide by Arena standards of content, of course.
• When your partner posts the avatar, please make sure you download it before using – your partner is not obliged to host the image after it has been delivered.
• Your sign-up post should contain the word apple somewhere in order to signify to me that you've read the rules.
• Do not reveal your partner before you're done! If you have any questions, please message me and I can PM your partner.
• Post your finished avatar to this thread when you are done. You may post the avatar up to three days before the deadline, but no earlier, please.

I really only do pony art. A little bit of anthro, much more toony than realistic. Digitally I prefer to do some sort of painted style or vectoring, traditional I'm dabbling in colored pencils. I may make a gif if the scene calls for it!

Brief Character Description (Hasbro/OC):
My character is a purple earth pony with three toned hair (tan, orange, and yellow). She has a green seahorse as a symbol. Her eyes are also green. Her hair is long and covers part of her face (I usually draw it on the right side but it's not important which side).

The only thing out of the above I don't really do is animated GIFs and pixels^^'  All others I can do!

Brief Character Description (Hasbro/OC):
Shailatte is a yellow unicorn, with pink to blue gradient hair. She has a nose ring/septum piercing. Her eyes are also pink and baby blue, and her symbol is a takeaway mug and bubbles, also in pink and blue.

I do a bunch of art but only really post pony stuff here! I enjoy digital or traditional. I will likely do digital for this trade, but we'll see

Brief Character Description (Hasbro/OC): OC: a white pegasus with pink-tipped wings and hooves. They have pastel pink and yellow hair, brown eyes, and two yellow stars on their nose. Their symbol is a magical cloud coming out of a pencil.

I can do ponies, animals and people, toony or semi-realistic. Digital or traditional. I have no experience with pixel art or animated stuff.

Brief Character Description (Hasbro/OC):
Aithne is a dun pony with dark brown legs, a white blaze, brown hair with dark green and yellow stripes. She has gentle chocolate brown eyes that reflect her sweet personality. She likes animals, books and art. Her symbol is a black cat curled around a Celtic triquetra knot.

Pretty much ponies only, and they tend to be more on the toony side. I do primarily digital art but can sort of do traditional art with pencils as well. I can do GIFs but am not great at pixel art.

Brief Character Description (Hasbro/OC):
Tangle is a grey earth pony with a bright green mane, styled in a mohawk, and tail. They have a green gradient on their legs, and their hooves are an ivory colour. Lots of feathering. They wear a vest, an silver ring ear piercing in their left ear, a spiked choker and a spiked tail band thing. Only the tail one is necessary to draw though, if you don't want to draw the rest. They have no symbol.

I've got one version done already, but a couple days ago I had another idea that I think would be cool. Problem is, it's in a style I haven't used in years, so I'll experiment and see if I can still pull it off.

Quick question, would a CC0 texture blended into the background go against the "original art only" rule?

I finished mine around the time I was assigned my partner because I knew if I waited, I would be bogged down with schoolwork and have a harder time finishing it lol. Though I'll revisit it before the due date to make sure I still like it
