UPDATE:
Basic Fun is going to replace her.  Since I had nothing to lose, I took her out of the box and...she's not that brittle!   Her body is harder than the average pony, but nothing like I thought it would be.  I squished her over and over and nothing else cracked or broke.
A drop of superglue put her horn right back where it belonged.

Oh no, that's awful! If it's any consolation, I deboxed my new Glory and as soon as I took that weird plastic thing off her hair, several of the bottom plugs of her mane just came right up like an unraveling sock. Factory errors happen, maybe try e-mailing them. Best wishes.
