Prototype ponies you wished made it in to mass production

The Checkered Ponies and of course the Celestial Swirls. I'd have loved to see the Flutter Hideaway, maybe with a new, exclusive Flutter Pony in a color they never came in. Like gray or bright green.

The dolls that were supposed to go with the Pony Friends. They're so cute.. I wish they hadn't cancelled them.

I've never seen pictures of them! Can anyone post any, I'd love to see!

Baby Shady (regular eyes version) and Paradise (the one from the UK catalogue, that was meant to come with the estate.)

Also, Songster and Player with wings. Still not over that change The comics always showed them winged.

Star Gleamer in that pose is awesome too though.

That's interesting that the comics had them with wings. The artists must have seen the prototype ponies and drew the comic ponies  based on those.

Ugh, so many! FT Baby Sundance, Paradise, Baby Truly, the Flutter Hideaway, furbobs... And I'm probably forgetting a whole bunch. I also really like the prototype of Good Weather in Gingerbread's pose. Usually I hate that pose, but on some ponies it works.

I like that version of Good Weather, too. Especially the slight difference in colour scheme. I remember when I first found Good Weather at a carboot sale it took a while to realise who she was because the insert one also has aqua hair. I liked the yellow/aqua more than the yellow/electric blue.

I'm afraid I don't know much about MLP prototype but if this is broad enough for MLP & friends to count... those extra Moon Dreamers animals would have been added to my herd when they reached second-hand.

I had many instances of "who is this pony" at carboot sales because of pics and comic drawings that didn't match, as the stores where I shopped had a limited range. I never saw her in stores so she was one of my 'huh' moments...

Others included Baby Heart Throb (where were the wings on her hearts, pray?), Baby Splashes (pink hair?!) and Love in a Mist (False advertising!)
