What manga are you reading?

I enjoyed the first 2 volumes of Fruits Basket and will be getting more volumes.   I still need to read Takane & Hana.

I think I am going to buy some for my kindle, since nothing here is in English.
I'm thinking of Blue Exorcist and the last volume of Kamisama kiss. Maybe Bungo Stray Dogs..
The only thing is I HATE DIGITAL FORMAT.

Ugh I understand that!  It has put a serious damper on my collection - now I have to order from Amazon and pay so much shipping because most of the bookstores have a small selection compared to what it once was.  And sooooo many of the series I have are now out of print!

I agree. When I read manga I want a real book in my hands, not a digital book on my tablet.

I picked up Volume 3 of Fruits Basket today.

I also like actual books. For my research too, I like hard copy. I am a dinosaur among my students who do their reading on their phones, sometimes -.-

 I am waiting for vol 29 of Yona to get a release date, which completely steamrollered me as a series, sigh. And vol 4 of Saiyuuki Reload Blast which could take literally years. Saiyuuki's been going 20 years already (in the story I think their journey's been like, 2 or 3 years, but we've been waiting a whole lot longer). I don't even know if Blast's been picked up by a translator yet or what though the anime adaption was pretty accurate (with added flashback stuff). But since the manga thus far kind of ended

with the death of Dokugakuji/Jien, the appearance of Nataku, signs Goku might remember him, the Sanbutsushin basically taking Sanzou and co off the job and the prediction that they're all probably going to die horribly like they did 500 years ago, except Goku who is basically immortal...

it feels like the cliffhangers mount up and then take YEARS to be figured out.

I still want to see Hazel and Ukoku again. Especially if Hazel is kicking Ukoku's butt again.

If only Even a Worm had been properly animated. Sob. It's the one bit of the Saiyuuki franchise still effectively missing.

Although manga is usually better than anime, anime is sometimes easier to get hold of :/

Me too. I find it a lot easier to look up something in a book then on a tiny phone screen. I had to buy a new phone in China and it's such a pain to type on because if I hit the wrong button-which I frequently do - it switches everything into Chinese characters and then I spend the next 5 minutes trying to switch it back. 
 And EVERYTHING is done via cell phone here. Ordering food, paying for groceries, paying for a taxi or DIDI (chinese uber) via Wechat or Alipay. I was surprised at the amount of places in Okinawa that accepted wechat or Alipay.

I guess they get a lot of visitors from China. In mainland Japan it is still mostly cash...

I'm strictly a print person when it comes to manga; the only digital piece I have is a tiny side-story for Awkward Silence, because the series is so sugar-sweet I just had to have it. Anything else, no. The only other exception I'd make is for FAKE Act 2 by Sanami Matoh, because FAKE is the series I started with ... And buying it off Amazon for Kindle directly benefits her! Once it's translated to English, of course

For comics, I'm 50/50. I prefer print, but I do own Comixology and have the digital versions of some of my favourite series as the print used to be VERY hard to get before they started directly selling from their own store (Amigo Comics). I now own both in order to support a dearly-beloved series (Rogues!)

I picked up more Fruits Bakers volumes today. One of the books has some cosmetic damage to the cover(looks like it got stuck in the printing machine with black streaks on one cover) bit the inside pages look fine. I do prefer my books to look as nice as possible but the store I buy manga from is really hit or miss when it comes to restocking manga as I am still waiting for them to get another volume of a different series and when they restock they never order the missing volume

Is that because of digitisation or did a license go bust somewhere? I remember that there was some big issue with releasing anime of Kyou Kara Maou and Saiunkoku in the US because of a collapsed company and licence somewhere, hopefully this isn't the same deal??

Finally have a date for #29 of Yona. Not till April though.

Under the Full Moon was reprinted and there's a sequel! @ Full Moon!!
