Got Amazon Alexa to it got me and my family laughing, my mum asked her to do a 30 second and boy did she do it had me in tears, my brother laughing, my mum laughing and Honey decided to lick me because I was laughing so hard.

My son has started swimming lessons, and I have no choice to bring my girls along with me while I wait for him. There is a small baby pool there, and they let my girls swim in there for free while he is in the lesson, which is really nice. Well this morning the girls kept asking if they were going to get to go in the 'cat pool'. I didn't understand what they were talking about at first; another pool we frequent has a baby pool that we refer to as the 'duck pool', because it has a duck-shaped slide in it, so I thought 'cat' was just something they made up to differentiate between that one and this one. I finally figured out they had heard it referred to as the 'kiddie pool'...and thought we were saying 'kitty pool', and somehow in their heads became cat pool.

That was amusing enough, but then we get there and there actually was a black cat hanging around outside the chain link fence. My girls were delighted, and kept trying to pet it through the gaps. It found its way into the pool area because the gate is left open to the kiddie pool from the outside; the lifeguards put it back out and closed the gate but it kept finding its way back in through the locker rooms. It was still in the main pool area when we left...I hope they eventually found who it belonged to. Now it will definitely be the cat pool forever now!

There are a lot of baby birds here too. Some of whom think that if they stay very still in plain sight, they're somehow magically invisible. Also some who forget that they have wings when trying to get away from people...

In my garden I met the largest snail in Finland and Europe called Ash-black or Ashy-gray Slug (in Finnish Ukkoetana). I took a few photos of it and finally carried it to the woods,where these usually live. 
I saw a similar creature more than five years ago, which means these are not often encountered in the garden.

Found out last night that I'm getting a decent raise.  It's still not as much as I'd like to be paid but it's a step in the right direction.

Found some caterpillars chewing up the verbascum this morning.

Removed them (the plants will be ok)...

But caterpillars are so cute. I don't care if they're pests, they just are.

Especially the little ones, who were basically scrapping with each other in the pot, only in a really cute way...

A friend that I met online on a different board has been wanting to meet in real life.  She has family that lives a couple hours away from where I live.  We were making vague plans (nothing set in stone) to meet the next time she visited her family.  Real life suddenly hit hard for her and she had to make an emergency trip to be with her family.  I figured that our plans to meet would have to wait until another time.  I completely understood that and decided the last thing she needed at this time was me asking if we were still going to meet.
Earlier tonight I saw a message from her saying that she still wants to meet me  if she gets a chance while she's with her family during this time.

Haven't had anything this morning generate a smile just yet, but that is because I am still waking up and getting my head in order and awaiting morning coffee.

However, I did have a good smile first thing yesterday morning when I went to turn on the AC in my office (next door to my bed room) to get it cooling off for the day, and was greeted by the little 1/6 scale figure and Pony display on the shelf be the air conditioner.

Almost a bit embarrassed to show this off but here goes.
