My friend has learnt about Australian foods like fairy bread and lamingtons. She is in the process of loosing her mind at the concept of white bread with butter and sprinkles on it. I never thought it was weird but it’s funny to watch her try to comprehend some of this.
Well I grew up wi bread, butter & sugar as a simple sweet treat, so for me it's just adding a little food dye to the sugar... I think I'd prefer the chocolate sprinkles or vermicelli though...

Fun fact: UK calls sugar sprinkles "hundreds & thousands" & when you heap them on the bread you can see why...

Wait, what?! ...I'm not sure if that sounds good or not. Do you guys have cheese bread? Cheese baked right into the dough. Yum.

Anyway, I was able to catch my window sill spider and let her go on the big tree in the backyard.
Yes we do it's delicious!!!
They call it “hundreds & thousands” down there too. But up here it’s just sprinkles.
Yesterday I got to watch Star Trek lower decks with dad. I think we both like it. It’s not as serious as the other series of Star Trek, but that’s part of the appeal. It’s nice to see starfleet officers acting a bit more casual and human. And today I got to watch the owl house. Spoilers for those who haven’t seen the latest episode, but Grom is amazing and made my little heart explode!

I had a cute little MLP-related dream. Of course, it was a dream, so it didn't exactly make sense.

It had another MLP fan coming to my house. I don't remember what all she did, but it seemed like she had a job or something to make MLP fans happy. She gave me a tattoo of a pony on the area above my ankle. I would never get a tattoo in reality, but it was cute. The funny thing was that she asked me which pony I'd prefer to have for the tattoo, I couldn't answer. She started drawing a pony that was kind of like G3 Desert Rose, but not exactly, as the vines of her symbol curled onto her back legs, like some of the G3 lines.

The dream ended shortly after when she was getting into her car to leave. I realized I didn't wear a mask and neither did she and started freaking out. (I swear being maskless is the new being naked in public dream lol)

There was also another dream I had last night where I was in Canada, and really happy for the better climate and to be out of the US.

XD

Mum went to the local store this morning. Why did that make me smile?

Because she said that when she left she was about to remove her mask and then she heard my voice in her head reminding her to use sanitiser, so she did.

I feel like we had a breakthrough.

Also, thus far, NO STORMS tonight.

I found an amazing fanfiction the other day.  It's still being written but I really like what I've read so far.  Th author has stated that they often rewatch the anime the fanfiction is based on while they write and I can see a lot of the things that happen in the story happening in cannon.

I had some charity shop luck today... early 90s Jenga! The overall design is very satisfying; there's a lovely blue and pink gradient on the box and the blocks have bold, stodgy lettering on them. Looking forward to having some nostalgic fun later. :D

My husband gave me a loving smile and said thank you when I came back with the medicine he was needing and I smiled back and told him I love his smile.

We finished a long running campaign of our with my friend group. It was a fulfilling but bittersweet end, and I hope we get an epilogue episode. But now this mean the time for one of us to leave is coming close. Our DM for the longest time is moving to Switzerland for school. We all couldn’t be prouder for him, and have agreed to keep in touch and play dnd together once a month when he moves. But...I also had another idea. A going away surprise party. I have no idea how to pull it off as my parents refuse to have a group of loud teenagers in their house enjoying cake and snacks. But I Hope was can have a party. Nobody has seen anybody since lockdown went into place, and now that the restrictions are lifted...I think it would be a nice gesture. I love these guys more than I can describe. The adventures and stories we’ve made will stay close to my heart. I want one more happy moment in person with them before we all step into post secondary and can’t be together as much.

I bought my first pair of (non-water) shoes in about 15 years. My gosh they are amazing.

My old ones are Skechers so since they lasted so long I went with Skechers again. They're Go Walks and they feel so comfortable. Plus no laces to mess with. Even my messed up foot feels good in them! (they were on sale too!)

I helped a tortoise cross a busy road. You always put them in the direction they are heading, this guy was just off the median toward some mangroves.

I'm glad most people are understanding when you stop traffic to pick up a reptile. It happens a lot here!

Well done you!!

I used to help baby frogs because they'd get killed so easily by traffic and stuff. I'd see them on the walk to school. They're so cute...

My smile thing today is realising that yes, Sunset Shimmer can wear a mask too xD. I was overdue a new avatar...

Aw, thanks guys  He was probably my 10th or so turtle/tortoise I helped out. I've also escorted two snakes and a baby alligator (the gator was under attack by vultures, I tossed him back in the lake). It's fairly common here :)

My smile is for the weather :hearts: It's been thundering all morning and we're under grey skies. It's only 89° right now, which is still too hot but it's much better than 106. It's extra great since I need to clean my bike today. I won't mind being outside ^.^
