My cat woke me up for breakfast by licking my cheek and gentle biting my nose  She hasn't done that in a while. Usually she stands on me and meows.

That sounds like a really important ruling. Good for them.

Dad and I love Star Trek, But I never knew data had a cat. Until today. I’m sorry data, but your ranking as my favourite character on TNG has been claimed by your cat, Spot.

Tomorrow (Sunday) is Fathers Day so I had a relaxing time cooking roast lamb, potatoes & all the trimmings this afternoon, ready for "meals on wheels" tomorrow for him and also my Uncle (who is shielding at his house for now);

I love cooking a feast, I normally cook for 4 days on a row over the Christmas holidays, it is such a pleasure for me (I am crazy enough to not mind doing the washing-up, either! No need for a dish washing machine when I am around!)

Spoiler

it is now 2 months since my Mum passed away in hospital from a stroke and the first time we are having a family meal together.

Sunday roast used to be a weekly event, before the C-19 isolation rules happened. It's going to be strange sat at the dinner table with that empty space, we might just have our meals on our laps in the lounge instead as it will be less triggering for all of us.  :)

Also - scored a Trolls Happy Meal yesterday and today, so now my kid has both Poppy and Branch figurines.

As Smyths toystore was opposite Maccy-Ds, I treated myself to a Basic Fun Glory to use for a future rehair/custom project

I’ve finally downloaded steam, and have started playing Team Fortress 2. I'm not very good, but I like it. Not entirely sure how steam works, but I’m learning.

My kitty was feeling kind of blah after her vaccines for a couple of days (she's 17) but today she is feeling much better!

My dad is really happy with the gift bag I put together for Father's Day; he had to have his main present a couple of days early because there's nowhere in this rather small house that I can hide away a guitar case, so I was worried that the gift bag might fall a bit flat by comparison, but he's really thrilled with his assortment of treats. :D
And now I've got some downtime, chillin' with a hot chocolate and watching Friday Night Dinner.

A good friend of mine runs a papercrafting club, we used to meet up monthly for an evening of stamping/crafting/gossip and general putting-world-to-rights.

She will be doing a group video live crafting session this evening and popped some new supplies through my postbox this weekend, I had some fun yesterday making bits and bobs ready for tonight as I am sure that I will spend more time chatting & catching up with the ladies rather than actually doing any craft!

At least I have a few "show and tells" for them, hehe

Now, off to town, the fabric shop reopens today and my quarantine quilt is just short of a particular bit of material...

I don't have to pay my attorney again for my next hearing (not that I would have been able to). I was confused and worried since they sent another fee agreement but it doesn't apply since I already paid my retainer in full.

A lot of the forms I fill out end up not applying to me since I'm not making a new disability claim, I'm making a claim to continue my disability. Two completely different things! The latter doesn't happen often! It's not my fault! Social Security -lost- my file, so they said 'screw you, you don't have any evidence!' and tried to cut me off. 'Merica, right?

ANYway! My attorney is still representing me and I also learned that the Judge wants to amend my onset date (because again, they lost my file) and I guess if I agree then the Judge will make a fully favorable decision. Then this 4 year nightmare will be over. I talk to my attorney about it in a couple days. If I agree and sign the forms I might not even have that second trial in August.

Things are looking up for BC! :)

While walking through the park today, I discovered that the Magic Path is still there! It's on a big grass verge; there's an inexplicably flat, bare, thin strip of land in what is otherwise a gently sloping grassy hill. When I was a kid, there were a lot of little rocks embedded in the bare ground but they've gone and it's a lot smoother now. The path definitely still magical though. ;)
