My students got together and gave me flowers and a present for my birthday.  I totally cried lol. But the flowers are so pretty they make me smile every time I look at them. I love my kids. (*^^*)

A trip to the shop "Flying Tiger" yielding me a £4 plastic "chemistry" kit including a mini test-tube rack, test-tubes and flasks.

Perfect for my kid to make potions in the summer with coloured water.

Had to buy 2 sets though   :devious:

Spending literally the whole evening celebrating a belated Valentines Day with my husband. We ordered in food from Outback and cuddled on the couch watching White Snake which is an amazingly beautiful animated movie from I believe China, the 1984 Transformers movie and Ferris Bueller's Day Off as well as a couple of episodes of Bahamut or Rage of Bahamut

I got home from work today to find a parcel propped up against my door in the entryway - The Lion King was in there! Might not seem particularly thrilling but it's a Japanese laserdisc edition with really beautiful artwork on the sleeve. Now I just need a laserdisc player!

That does sound like you had Simba on your doorstep ;)

I have a LD player and it was also to play the three or four Japanese LDs I had. It takes up quite a bit of space compared to a DVD player though :/

I'm not having a good time mentally at ALL lately, and a neighbour gave me access to Netflix so I'm finally able to watch Ever After High: Dragon Games in HD. Doing this while cross-stitching, it's nice.

(Also, I am VERY concerned that Daring Charming is very literally romantically in love with himself, it borders on lust at times  )

Was sorting some boxes today and found a birthday card my parents gave to me...when I turned 1 year old.

It's my birthday this weekend, so the timing of that was beautiful and ironic.

Also found a MLP radio that I didn't know I still had. For some reason it wasn't with the rest of the merch but in a random box. I'm not sure if I'm brave enough to now test it though.

And found some really old stuff from when I was little that I remembered treasuring as a kid. Including my stacking cups. I was the weird child who did not sleep with a teddy bear. I slept in my crib with my stacking cups.

Stacking cups are awesome though :) hope you have a great weekend and a great birthday!

Thank you!

And yes, yes they are. Mine had little animals on the base, from a fish all the way up to an elephant. I'm kind of impressed they were all still together after so many years.

I got two great pieces of mail today (actually yesterday but I haven't left the house...)

1. My updated driver's licence that I've been waiting for
2. My friend sent me a sticker pack

there was no depressing mail!

Yay!!

One of my favorite board games was Pretty Pretty Princess. I was surprised when I saw several copies of the game at the bookstore today. I thought the company stopped making it years ago.
