I got pretty boots and they fit! Usually I can't wear boots because of my huge calves ( ) but these actually fit! Of course, being wider than other boots, I totally have stone columns in them instead of legs, but I don't even care.

My mom cleaned out her toy room (for the grandkids) so I got a bunch of early G4s (from the sets with Blossomforth and Honeybuzz).  They probably need a spa day, but they were never played with enough to make them baity.

Eeeeee! I just found an interview with Dolores on YouTube in which she sang a line of her very first song called "Calling"! This is a miracle to me, because every fan knows this title, she wrote it when she was 12, 13 or 14 (in the video it says 13 or 14, but in an old Cranberries book it says 12). But I never dreamed we would actually find out what it sounded like! I am so over the moon with it!

Oh, and I'm also eating dried cranberries right now. They taste so good.

Cooking a nice lunch! I did a salmon and dill parcel with some broad beans and mixed veg, then had a small lemon pudding in a cute little ceramic pot for dessert and a strong cup of assam tea to go with it. For ambience, I had chillout music and the birds singing outside. I'm back at work tomorrow so I figured some serious self-care is in order!!!

Also, I discovered the Splashing Otter Family (Sylvanian Families) yesterday... Though I'm not sure if that makes me smile or cry, because they are expensive and I can't afford them yet.

I was wondering how I could brush up my written japanese, and then sorting through some other stuff in my room looking for a different book I found a book I picked up in a book harvest at uni earlier this year. Which does exactly what I need...and I got it for free Yay for book harvests.

Yay!! I'm happy for you! I totally can relate to this. I have larger than normal calves too, and season after season, still haven't found pretty boots to wear..

My boyfriend called me randomly while I was on morning break at work. I enjoy hearing from him, but I also enjoy hearing his voice! He's got a great "radio" voice and interesting accent..(totally not what I think of when I think of a New Orleans accent..haha)

I got to go for a walk this morning without even needing to take a coat with me.

So today I was at the bus stop waiting for a bus.

No, Beldarna, it's not a bus story! It's in the happy thread. It can't possibly be!

So anyway, I'm waiting, and this visually impaired guy is coming along the street with his stick.

He's quite a way from the bus stop at this point, and near the road crossing. There's a lot of roadworks by me at the moment and the traffic was all backed up, and I was half afraid he was going to walk out in the middle of the road because all the signs and stuff that had been put up on the pavement were obviously confusing him.

So there's a delivery driver at the store near the crossing. He's doing his delivery, and the next thing I know, This driver comes racing across from his van, goes up to this guy, speaks to him, takes his arm and gently helps him to the crossing and then across the road safely. Then he hares back, the guy continues his journey and the store gets its delivery.

It all happened just in a split second but it made me smile.

Some people are just awesome.

That was actually really sweet. I love it.



A couple of days ago we were at a huge garden store, full of flowers and fruit trees. I bought a small plant of wild strawberries to keep on the balcony. When I purchased it it had one singel flower, today it has four and one strawberry in the making .
