I got pony mail!

This may seem a strange thing to make me smile...

I ordered some manga from amazon Japan. They should have been shipped together, but one volume apparently came from a different warehouse so the order got split (at no extra charge). The first half all arrived already, but this one volume is still in transit.

So why am I amused by this?

Because I looked at the tracking.

The first books left Japan and arrived in the UK fairly smoothly.

This one volume...took a tour.

It left Japan and arrived in Hong Kong.
From Hong Kong it travelled to Leipzig in Germany.
From there it took a trip to Kishinev, Moldova.
It spent a day in Moldova, then took a detour to Bucharest, Romania.
Next, it turned up in Bologna, Italy.
Finally, it returned to Leipzig.

After a flight to East Midlands airport, it is finally in Birmingham, UK. Hopefully it will be delivered today or Monday.

...Talk about crazy tracking.

Had a few things make me smile/excited this week (only just woke up today so day is still young hehe)
*Heard my babies heart beat for the first time this week! (it's so fast  but apparently that is good )
*My Nana found some Polly Pockets for me, which included one of my favourite fairy ones.
*I won something off ebay for like less than half the price it usually goes for. It arrived & its in great condition too

Was a nice change to the beginning of the week... shopping for Maternity clothes (in the rain too) is not fun. Also had a horrid headache from the stormy weather which I am not allowed to take anything for!

I went to Stoke-on-Trent today and the Canadian geese there are so friendly! A whole troop of them came walking over to me and were looking up at me, presumably expecting food. I didn't have anything to give to them, so I talked to them for a bit instead, which didn't seem to impress them much. Still, it was nice to be popular with the geese for a bit.
I also tried some Jamaican ginger and sorrel juice and wow, why is not more of a thing in England? It's delicious!

We have resident Canada geese living near where my parents live, with their babies at the moment. Although some people don't treat them with respect, most of the locals do. They're great characters They will talk to you. When I used to walk home from the bus stop when I worked at the college, I did it so often at the same time that when I walked past the geese they'd acknowledge me and I'd always say good evening to them as well

I ordered some things from Amazon.com on Wed and when I placed the order the estimated delivery date was Tues and then it changed to tomorrow. My package arrived today.

I cleaned out my Etsy wishlist. Now it's up to date again. I had over 1400 items on it, now it's only 894 (not that I buy it all, obviously, I just like looking at pretty things!).

...What? Some people do drugs, other people drink, and I have Etsy.

Maternity clothing tip:
I continued to wear my "normal" jeans, albeit with the zips/buttons undone, but wearing a soft belly band (or bump band) to cover the exposed tummy. Amazon sell pairs of them for under a tenner -

What made me smile? Successfully covering a fancy, HUGE lampshade frame in stretched linen fabric, displaying it in my room temporarily (until my navy trim arrives) and just looking at it, thinking, Yay, I actually managed to cover this thing!!

Having a fantastic (and needed) phone date with my boyfriend and getting reassurance that things will be alright.

I bought some manga at the bookstore today and the cashier I got is a manga/anime  fan. She knew about the new Fruits Basket anime and that the publisher of the manga.

Meeting up with a long term pony friend and her partner in a local town

Ok, so it rained, but it was still fun

Also seeing Cotton Candy and Lickety Split in a charity shop. Of course, overpriced and in poor shape so I didn't buy them, but it's still nice to see them xD.

It's cloudy and rainy and cold outside, and my throat is sore but this is my last workday for a couple of weeks. I'm going on Holliday tomorrow. Also, a cup of Earl grey with a tiny bit of honey for my throat is making it all better .
