I'm happy because yesterday I saw the first common swifts of the year. I love them so much, their shape, their movements, their call, everything. They make me feel like I can fly too.

I was rummaging through radio stations, put Absolute Rock on and the first thing I heard was Audioslave! Result!

Double whammy! Got my hair cut yesterday, back to a shaved head on the sides and my goodness does my scalp LOVE it. And my forms for my name change came through Thursday!

I went for a long walk this morning.

I like walking, but I get lost so easily I can't often do it. But here there are so many buses that I can use the stops as a kind of guide to make sure I don't get stranded.

I ended up walking much further than I originally intended.

It's lovely walking here in the spring, too. So many pretty flowers in bloom, lots of wisteria especially which I love <3. And the view from the hill over the river was really pretty as well.

Coming back to work, relaxed, after 1.5 weeks of holiday, to the news that I received a Champion Award for my brilliant work. And not only this: the other person who received this award is a girl I had the pleasure to coach when she was a newjoiner in our team, and who is brilliant and totally deserves this recognition. I just shed some happy tears ^^

After being stuck for literally months on how to continue a fanfiction story I'm working on, yesterday I got an idea that seems promising.

This made me happy too this Monday, even though I'm not in the UK - I wasn't aware, and I was expecting to come back to a long Monday spent with firefighting my super-speedy and messy UK project, and to have no time to look through my 1.5-week pile of e-mails as a result. In reality, all the UK peeps were off, so I was able to check all my e-mails properly, as well as progess with my other project with my Italian team

Today I was back in the office for the first time in almost 3 weeks, and a colleague told me he's so happy to have me back, as he missed me a lot Aaaaand, I got to meet one of the members of a Swiss project I was managing in the second half of last year. While meeting him finally in person would have been totally enough (the downside of remote project management is that I hardly get to meet my teams in person, even though I'd love to), he brought me a box of chocolate to thank me for everything during our work together. I feel a little guilty-proud if I think of this, but I wasn't the only person he worked with from my local team, but I was the only one he told he's coming, and the only one he brought a present. I feel special
