What made you smile today?

This little bundle of joy has been living with us for four days. She is a thirteen week old energybomb that has me laughing and smiling every day. And she loves to cuddle and sleep by the neck. I'm so inlove.

I ordered something from the Japanese pokemon store for myself and a swap partner-- and I got the most AMAZING shipping box. I squealed upon seeing it.

I was on a nice walk today, it was a little cloudier than I expected but oh well, then I went home and watched "Flight to the Cloud Castle" on DVD while drinking hot chocolate, and it felt super comfy.

Firstly, we rescued a sickly little stray cat in January, and decided to keep him in our livable space in our barn. My sister was the one who'd found him (he pretty much just walked into our barn and decided to stay there) and she named him Amarillo because she'd been singing 'Amarillo By Morning' and thought it fit. He barely weighed 4 lbs and had a flea infestation, hadn't been neutered, and had six bad teeth and gingivitis. He used to just eat and sleep constantly because he didn't feel well and had very little energy.

Fast forward to today, he's now neutered, flea-free, weighs almost 11 lbs, had the bad teeth pulled and the rest cleaned, and he was play-hunting me all around the barn and running around with so much energy. I can hardly believe he's the same cat ahaha

Second, I recently got a weekend welding job because I wanted to earn some money while I'm in school, and it pays really well ($25 an hour). I made $375 last weekend and I'm going back again tomorrow and Sunday! I'm so looking forward to being able to treat myself to small pony things that I wasn't able to afford before, and also help to better support my family.

And finally, next week is spring break and I'm planning on going thrifting! Super excited! <3

Ohe of my favourite manga-kas, the one whose work was the very beginning of a life-long love of manga, has released the official sequel of her work on Amazon in English!!! So happy to a) get it, and b) directly support her!

Oh, no! Not stealing my kitty! She's mine!

But todays smile is about her as well. Our grumpy cat meowed us awake and she jumped up to him and rubbed against him and he LICKED HER HEAD! He has been so unsure and confused by her and practically avoided her all week and now he licks her head! I can't stop smiling! She's totally accepted into the pack now!

Went for a walk this morning. Bright and sunny (except for the ten second hail storm as I got home but never mind that. It is still March) and lots of pretty flowers in bloom on the trees.

Walked past a house and in the window there was a kid's picture of a unicorn under a rainbow, with rainbow hair

Popped into Dunelm to buy some knitting needles and the cashier that served me was a girl from school! It was really nice to see her, we discussed what we were doing in college and how we were doing

There was a G3 pony in the charity shop too, but I was too shy to take her to the till

Sitting here eating breakfast. I look up and wonder why there is a horse in my neighbor’s back yard. It’s a deer, eating from their bird feeders!
