Hi ponies,

I decided to "have a go at" my BBE mountain. I have some many of the poor rusty little things I sometimes feel a bit intimidated  :blush:

I started out with a regular de-bbeing of Baby Sundance, she even came with her bridle!

I thought it would be fun to Twinkle Eye some of the babies as something a bit different. Their hair, bodies and symbols are too nice to call them bait, it was only the rusty eyes that were the problem.

I also made two "regular" babies, Baby Parasol and Baby Minty. Both baits have been in my box for years and I just couldn't decide what to do with them.

Baby Parasol, with glittery symbols and dip dye hair  :rainbow: I was going to give her regular rainbow hair, but then I found the rainbow hair I had dyed. I just LOVE how it on her.

Baby Sundance with regular eyes is so cute! All of them are but I like nbbe Baby Sundance the best.

I am in love with Baby Parasol and Baby Minty! The rainbow hair on Baby Parasol is incredibly beautiful--I really think this should have been how Hasbro did the rainbow hair!

The bigger gems look fantastic, I'm not a fan of BBE even when de-BBE because of the shape of the molding on their faces but with the big gems they look great.  I would seriously consider having some of the BBEs with no US/Euro NBBE equivalent if they were done like this, Baby Lofty for example!

You are right, the eye socket shape is completely different to a regular pony eye shape. It's not just a case of filling the hole and painting over. Youhave to create the eye shape with paint, but it still doesn't fully disguise the original shape of the bbe eye socket.

On Lickerty I used 5mm jewels, which fit the bbe eye socket perfectly. On the other babies I used 6mm jewel, which is too big for the socket. I had to increase the size and change the shape of the eye socket so the jewel will fit. I changed the shape to be more like the hasbro eye shape, which is why they look better ;)
