Grrrrrrrr!!! Sellers on eBay really irritate me sometimes...

A few weeks ago I had passed up a Deluxe Equestria Girls Rainbow Dash that was on clearance for $9 something and regretted it shortly afterwards. I decided I really liked her and a few hours ago I had had just found a new one on eBay for a really good price, like $11 something and it said there were 2 available and after thinking about it for a bit and noticing there was now only 1 more I decided to go ahead and get her, and all of the sudden as I'm in the middle of checking out she suddenly jumps up to like $20.10.

I'm so irritated as I really did want her. I do like EQG but the quality just isn't there to justify paying that much. I had gotten the other EQG dolls I have on clearance too when I otherwise wouldn't have paid full price with them.

I really don't understand the radical price jump within the span of a few minutes though, It's very frustrating.

That is odd, did you check the country?  If it was in a different country the price you see is in their currency and it would get converted to ours on check out.

If it wasn't the shipping, nor currency conversion then it sounds to me like your seller sold one and then decided to change her listing price. She would have to manually do this, as she would not be able to change it while you are checking out.

I am sorry you were unable to get your dolly for the price you wanted. Keep your eyes open and I am sure she will pop up again.

Yeah, It was Buy It Now. When I first found the listing there were 2 available but I decided to get her after there was only 1 left and it showed her original price the entire time I was in the middle of checking out, then right when I got to the last step before the transaction was finalized I get an alert saying the price has almost doubled.

I have no idea, but it was very frustrating and I had no choice but to not finalize the transaction. It seemed like a very deceptive way to con someone into paying more money than what was originally stated.

Honestly the listing was changed perhaps while you were checking out. A seller can not change the price while you are checking out. It is just a circumstance of unfortunate events.  It stinks but there is no policy that states they are not allowed to change their BIN at anytime for any reason.

Just seems ironic considering the sellers user name suggests lower than retail pricing, which it seems many of their items are, and then suddenly when I try to buy an item from them they try to jack up the price to retail right before I finish checking out.

It's funny, because the seller started out with 2 and 1 of them sold within the span of a few hours of me having discovered the listing, but now the one I almost bought is still there because of the price jack up. Funny how it seems none of the prices of their other items were modified. I don't think it's any kind of conspiracy or anything it's just really odd, I've never encountered anything like this on ebay before.
