RULES:
1. You must have a minimum of 5 positive feedback. One can be from Ebay or the MLPTP.
2. You must have been an arena member for a minimum of 4 months by the time sign ups are over. Also you must be an active member and have at least 50 posts.
3. This is a skill-based swap and will definitely involve some sculpting and or costuming for your custom. Show me examples of your work when sending me links to your recently made customs. (You can also add doll customizing pix if you want.)
4. PM me ( Salli ) your completed form by October 5th at the latest. Please put “Time Travel” somewhere in your subject headings whenever you PM me about this.
5. You must be in no more than 2 other swaps (3 total). Remember, it’s the holidays and your time may be limited.
6. This swap is open to all gens, but sculpting requests may leave your partner needing to use a g3. There is a line for gen preference on the sign up form.
7. Keep partners a secret! No telling any other arena members who your partner is. Half of the fun is the surprise
8. Be aware of and prepared for check in dates. They are far apart, and during a hectic time for all of us. You know this in advance, so I expect you do what you need to make it on time. Having a spare camera accessible is a good idea. Mark these dates on your calendar too. I made all the check in dates on the 8th of the months.
9. Final check in must show your completed pony and any extra accessories you made/acquired. I don’t need to see snacky things though
10. No final check in, no pony. Your partner will not get your address until I receive and approve your final check in. No shipping early.
11. Keep your shipping receipts!! Hopefully we won’t need them, but you are responsible for your pony until it gets to your partner safely. Delivery confirmation is highly recommended for domestic shipping.
12. Life happens. I am hoping that everyone’s lives go smoothly and that everything is just peachy for this whole swap, but the odds are that it won’t. If something happens to prevent you from checking in, finishing on time or shipping, I want to know about it as soon as possible. I may be able to conjure up a last-minute partner for someone, but I need to know. If you can’t check in, I can work with you. I am also on the MLPTP if something happens to you here.
13. Let me know by PM when you ship your custom out and by PM or posting on the Swap thread when you get your pony.
14. I reserve the right to pull anyone from the swap if the rules are broken.
SWAP SPECIFIC RULES:
• No babies or fakies unless otherwise stated by your partner. On that same note, let your partner know if you prefer or are ok with babies or fakies.
• Your custom pony should be the centerpiece of your swap, but accessories and extras are encouraged on this swap, particularly having to do with the era. You also might include some journaling about your pony’s experience in time.
• When you get your partner’s request, Choose one time period only. Yes, I know, they all sound fun
. If you have extra time, spend it on extras from that era. It might help if you thought up a story. (Like if your partner request’s Tex in the wild west 1870’s you might think of how he might get caught up in a gunfight and then wanted by the local law. You could make him some clothes, a gun and holster and a wanted poster, etc…
• I encourage you to finish your pony first. Then work on extras. Stay focused and on time for check ins. Time tends to fly through the holidays, make sure you are on schedule.
• I encourage researching your chosen time period, but don’t expect extremely historically-accurate costuming, etc. (example of what this swap isn’t: “Ack! They only used bronze pins in the Roman Era! How dare my partner use nickel!”)
I am expecting that this will be a really fun swap! I can’t wait to see what everyone’s requests are and what you, as artists come up with. There are so many talented people here on the Arena. Best of luck! and Welcome!
