To open or not to open - that is the question!

I just received the MH doll C.A. Cupid and the Novi Stars doll Mae Tallick in the mail today. Both are very pretty in their packages and I'm hesitating to open them, especially Cupid whom, along with Nefera, is my most treasured MH doll.

What do you think? Should I open them or not?

All my MH dolls are still in their boxes because they're too pretty to take out of the packaging, that and I have no space to keep them if I did open them. XP

I say if you have the room and want to brush through their hair and enjoy them, open them!!

I open everything   And then I design clothes, take pics, and just....play.  You could leave them in the box for a bit, you don't have to open them if you aren't ready.

Cupid is so precious to me; IMO she is by far the prettiest MH that Mattel has ever designed.
So I think I'll keep her in the box for a while. Just open my Mae Tallick though; I can't get her
to suit in her stand! Her feet just falls out of the holes and then she falls to the floor.
Anyone got tips on how to make her stay in her stand?

Well, I am glad I took her out the box, you can always keep the box incase you want to put her back

I've opened all my MH, even though I'm so finicky about other things and never open them.  They're just too beautiful to not take out of the package and pose yourself.

I think I'll keep Cupid in the box for a while longer. If I open, I can't re-do my choice.

About the Novi Stars... anyone know how to make them fit in their stands?

Cupid does look lovely in-box, and her hair isn't one you want to brush, unless you're intending to restyle.

I've heard of the Novis having trouble staying on their stands, though I sadly don't know of a fix. I would maybe try sticky tac, or something? My Una isn't too bad, once I got her pushed down on it firmly she's stayed alright. Their heavy hair makes them lean back, and their tiny feet are rather precarious to balance on. (I wouldn't change their design though, both of those things are part of how cute they are!)

Yeah, I agree. I'm worried that the heartshaped hair curl on her head will get damaged if I take her out of the box.

I know, I wouldn't change it either! Mae has rollerskates as feet, and the wheels are hard to keep in place...

I open ALL my MH... but quite a few of them I keep exactly as they came - no redressing, not even brushing their hair - and Cupid is one of those. She's so gorgeous I don't even want to touch her - she still has the rubber bands keeping her accessories on!

the only ones i keep MIB are the SDCC dolls -- the rest are free! FREE!!!
