A few weeks ago I went and rescued Spyro (Now named Gatsby, but he was still 'Spyro' when this started), a wonderful, sweet, friendly hedgehog whose family just couldn't take care of him anymore. He's settling in well here, but he is a BIG boy, so we are working on slimming him down! He's currently using a wheel that's not quite big enough or sturdy enough for his weight, so I really want to get him a new wheel.

Here's where you come in! We entered into a hedgehog halloween photo contest and the prizes are wheels! Right now the contest is set up as a public poll to narrow the field, so we'd love some support from pony people!! And in return for your support, you get a chance to get a custom! Here's how it works.

Step one:

Go here and vote for Spyro! http://www.carolinastormhedgehogs.com/hedge-o-ween-2012.html. It doesn't cost anything, you don't have to sign up for anything, you don't have to enter any info - just two clicks and you're done! Spyro's picture is number 35 - he's dressed up as an artist like his mummy!

Post here once you've voted telling me you have, and your name will go into a drawing! I trust pony people to be honest and only comment if they've actually voted.

Once the poll closes on October 31st, I'll draw a name from those who have voted. The winner gets the choice of a G3 McDonalds or a G4 regular size custom from me (no heavy sculpting.)

Forgive my ignorance, but I had no idea hedgehogs could be pets! o.o Are they bred in captivity like other small mammal pets? Is it easy to get poked by their spines? How do you get them to curl up all cute like that like in some of those photos? (Sorry for all the questions!
