Resident Evil Hellhound for Blackcurtains-Halloween Swap 5.0 **Gore**

Description..

I entered the first Halloween swap at the Arena since..2010 I think, and had the wonderful Blackcurtains as my recipient! From her list of gruesome and gory themes I had things like Hellraiser, any John Carpenter's stuff..etc, anything really gory. It was super hard to narrow down. I finally settled on Resident Evil after about a week of deliberation..a hellhound...the split headed dog!! I had a BRILLIANT idea of using flocking that I had, so I special ordered two colors of flock and a mini kit and got to work. It literally took me about a week of sculpting to get the head to work for me and then about 40 teeth (and some breaking), some mad sanding and tons of layers of paint. *EDIT* I forgot to mention how the teeth and blood on the head look particularly nasty and shiny. Well, I have some medium gloss Gel that I used to give it some drool, then I decided to mix some of it with the red gallery glass paint and grazed it over the teeth and let it droop a bit to make it more realistic like drool and dripping blood. I love that gel!

Then, the long wait after using the special glue for the flocking to stick.

Yes, some patches of fur are missing intentionally, blood...everywhere. Some looks new and fresh, some old and darker..more congealed. The eyes are zombah-fied. One eye is slightly good, with the general iris still in tact, the colors of pink/white/reds and a mix of dulled browns and a dull metallic brown glossed over with a mix of triple thick and GITD acrylics. The other eye is more of a diluted pink and white with no set iris for more of a zombie feel. I know I didn't nail it, but I'll get it some day!!

I think I got the special gore I was looking for. And to boot, I handmade a little T-Virus vial key chain and Umbrella logo to go along. The vial I'm not too pleased about as I did that on the day needed to ship out.

It is intentionally not filled with liquid, like most are made with because the real vials in the game had no liquid. The only fluid is actually in the strand itself, so I layered the strand with about 3 layers of Triple Thick to give it that filled feel.

I took photos with my copy of the game and our special RE Antidote energy drink can. Thought it fit rather well. Heh.

I think my first gore pony is a descent one, and I'm happy the new owner likes him as well!! Any Qs? Ask away!

That is really well done. After having done the spider queen for this year's swap I have a great appreciation for anyone who can pull off gory or creepy. It was harder than I thought it would be. I almost want one now...its cute in a freaky sort of way O.o

I LOVE him He is positively disgusting and adorable AND fuzzy! The flocking is soooo perfect too, and that's not easy (I've tried flocking, it was a huge failure) and I'm so impressed with the teeth and the whole inside of the head. I'm so happy! I was really hoping I'd get a gory custom in this year's swap, and you didn't disappoint! The vial is totally awesome too <3
