hey all, its been too long since weve had an atc swap, so im taking matters into my own hands =P

this is a bit of a last minute thing, i was planning on just doin the october one, but i cant wait that long so yay for mini swap!

signups run til sunday sept 16th, ill try to post partners monday the 17th (PM your partner for their address, and dont forget to tell them yours!), then draw draw draw like the wind! make sure your atc is in the mail before the 30th (or at least let me/your partner know if itll be a bit late, thats fine.)

what are atcs? the answer is: AWESOME. lol basically theyre 2.5" x 3.5" drawings. if you dont want to cut your own out (like i had to do for the longest time) then most craft stores carry blank ATCs by either paper or baseball card type stuffs. if youre using thinner paper make sure you put something firm behind your atc so it wont get damaged in the mail, i usually use thicker plastic card sleeves. they work like a dream. this is a swap for all skill levels, just try your best! =]

since this is a last minute thing im making it themeless to let you guys run with any ideas you might have. so everyone post a couple ideas of scenes/ponys/etc that you think would be cute, or if you dont care/wanna see what your partner comes up with, just say so. =]

please post to the thread when your atc is finished and in the mail so all atcs will be accounted for, and if youre able to, post pictures of what you get, thats half the fun, seeing the shiney new artwork =D

-ideas of themes: im open minded about themes. tho if it helps: i do a lot of reading and quilting, im a G1 girl (especially Fizzy, Lofty, and princesses/bushwoolies) and im always up for more drawings of my OCs, Eluluu (avatar), and my latest girl, Hoshi no tama (sig) if you want a clearer picture of what hoshi looks like jsut ask me, the sig one came out kinda grainy. but yeah, do whatever you want =]

Ideas for themes:  My favorite gens are G1 and G4, though I also very much like G3 Princess Peppermint and the G2 UK princesses.  There really aren't any G1s that I don't like, but I prefer the ones that came out around Year 4 and later.  I like all of the G4s pretty equally. I like themes having to do with food and sweets, royalty and autumn/winter seasons.  I also like things that touch on some of my personal hobbies:  singing and reading, mostly.

Mail internationally?:  Yes

Wild Card?:  yes

Digital or traditional:  No preference as to what I receive, but I only do traditional.

Wasn't Baxter the name of the fly guy in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?

I like this! Though I can only commit to one since I'm also doing an ATC at the Trading Post at the moment.

Theme:
Ancient civilizations, Halloween, traditional equine things (stables, hay, etc.), and Chinese culture all sound like fun things to me! I like all generations, but G1 and G2 the most at the moment.

As much as I really want to, I'm afraid I shouldn't commit to this because it's going to be a tight month. Sorry.

I myself will be doing traditional, and I prefer receiving traditional myself but anything is fine. : )

One question though: how many cards can we make for this swap? Is the number of the cards unlimited, or is there a specific number of cards we have to create?

Theme:
- My Little Pony - I like G1 and G4 the best. As for G4 characters, I don't have a specific favorite... I'll probably bore you all but I like: Mane 6, CMC, some of the background ponies (Vinyl Scratch ) and Pony/Ditzy. When it comes to G1 among my favs have to be the ponies that made an appearance in "Rescue at Midnight Castle". I also like Spike in both Gens.
And I also love the villain characters - in G4 my favs are Discord, Nightmare Moon and Chrysalis. In G1 - Scorpan.
- other series I'm fan of: "Transformers" (favorite characters: Hound, Beachcomber, Trailbreaker and Swoop), "Gargoyles" (Goliath!! ), and "Avatar..." series (Korra and Bolin especially - yeah, I ship these two like Fedex )
- musicals (Cats, Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables and Tanz der Vampire)
- animals: cats, dogs and rodents. :3

I can do both, though I guess traditional will be a better option seeing as my printer is currently dead and I'm not certain if copy places would be willing to print out something this specific.

Oh... okay then. I like to draw, so I'll probably make about five or six cards.

Even if I did get only one card, I'll be happy. I never did an ATC swap before, so it'll be a big treat for me.
