I have to say that I do like these new Crystal Empire transparent ponies, even if they are just the Mane 6 so far. At least they're changing them up just a little instead of re-releasing the exact same ponies over and over with just different accessories.

I might pick up Rarity, since she is one of my favorite characters. But am i the only one that doesn't feel there is much of a difference between the normal ones and these translucent ones? The translucency seems rather small. At least from these pictures. Maybe they look better in real life.

Love her! I'll definitely be adding these to my collection, can't wait I don't mind buying the main six too much if they look different Though it would be nice if they tossed in a new character or two for this line

Hmm I THINK that applejack is translucent too, but it's really hard to tell when she's covered in glitter. I bet though that since there's a chance these are crystal empire that they're all going to be glittery.

The question is whether or not it will be on the surface or embedded in the plastic. Because this definitely looks like surface glitter like the blind bags, but fluttershy looks like the glittery stuff was in her plastic, and rarity doesn't really look glittery at all @_@ so confuse

Ew, I don't like the surface glitter on AJ. For one, it looks odd (they avoided putting it over the cutie marks and the eyes) since it's not everywhere. And two, if the blind bag versions are any indication, she's going to make a huge mess and glitter will get on everything. I'm not against small amounts of glitter, like over their cutie marks (like how the Trixie and Flower Wishes found on TaoBao look) or on their horn even, but to have it all over isn't a good thing. I'd be fine if it were embedded in the plastic like how the G1 translucent glittery ponies were.

I think the quality of the photos play a role in this as well...

Mmmm looking between the 3 images shown for the ponies...
AJ = looks like her blind bag counterpart with glitter on top
Rarity = due to photo quality she doesn't look like she has glitter at all!
Fluttershy = She is actually the only one that looks like she has glitter in her plastic..

This is very confusing unless these are 'prototypes'

I wanted an excuse to buy another Rarity, now I have one! She's really pretty and her cutie mark really stands out.

They are all different but similar! Very confusing...as suggested I would guess they are all going to be the same when they actually get to production but perhaps in the meantime these are practice ponies.

Although the AJ does oddly look like she has bangs and she has her hair ready for "boxing"...she has the finish I least like, I hope they havent decided no on the translucent or "inside plastic" glitter and just gone with the glitter dust finish instead.
