Soooo over at the Corral I've been working on a little project that took pretty much -months- to complete. Now I'm finally finished with this girl and have much to tell of her tragic life... Yes I'm going there.

The subject of my custom restore project is none other than Baby Moondancer... Now some of you are probably saying this is a common pony, why restore her? For the challenge of course! Taking a poor pony that is pretty much bait grade and restoring her to something more special!

POOR PONY! She was described as being covered in stains and rust, but mark my words that isn't rust! That is 'Grade A' cancer! No cure for it. So I saw this baby girl in someone's sale and thought about it for a moment... I wasn't going to get her but one photo caught my attention. She was standing there looking straight at me in one of the photos with that sad baby pony face of hers telling me to take me home :( And I couldn't resist! Like a puppy from a pound nosing you through the chain link and begging you to save her.

When I got her though I didn't start my work on her. She sat to the side sealed from others till I was ready to work on her... When I was well it was a long process... I also got a little surprise when I finally opened her up

Fair warning, don't click if you really are grossed out by bugs... YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!

The whole process with her was pretty much the same, mostly hydrogen peroxide fading to get most of the problem areas lessened. With worked fairly well. Not a cure but she looks 100x better than when I got her. So now she is the pride of my herd and can say she is a Treasure! So now without more delay, here is Baby Moondancer!

She was rehaired with DH's Saran hair. Her stripe is a mix of Wild Lavender and Violet Iris.. But her main hair color... Is...

MYSTIC PINK TO WHITE (THERMAL!)

I wanted to add that touch to her ^^ Hey it makes sense because of her name... at least to me

Thank you, Sarletjul. I was going to PM you but I guess X-Posting in the corral works too XD And I'm glad I got her and had a chance to work with her ^^

AMAZING!!!  I am completely impressed by how you (and so many others) manage to do such transformations!  I love the baby ponies, especially the unicorns, they are sooo sweet and I am so glad she has such a new and bright future!

*waves wand* I think that would have been the response of people a while back before some of the ideas on how to 'fix' some of the problems came around. I'm glad she didn't end up in the trash though XD
