Boiling frizzy pony hair
« on: September 18, 2017, 12:56:28 PM »
I recently came across the idea of dipping frizzy pony hair in boiling water to straighten it back out but I haven't been able to find all the answers I need before trying it myself.

Do you let the water boil for a bit before dipping the hair or shut it off right when it starts to boil?

How long do you dip the hair in the water for?

I read that you need to dip it several times and comb it each time. I'm assuming you do this until you see a difference in the frizz?

I have a dream beauty I'd really like to try this method on but I don't want to ruin her so if anyone has any tips or advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Wouldn't mind finding more about this method myself, I've a G3 Valenshy whose got the worst case of frizz out of my nearly four dozen older MLP toys. I'd like to get her hair straightened out eventually.
Thanks to Lunacat for the lovely art

Eeek, I'm suspicious that it would cause more damage to be honest.

Me too. I mean, it is nylon though, so maybe it would work?

There are a few different websites on google that show people having success with it I just didn't feel they were clear enough with instructions....
