Hallmark Ornament Debut Sat July the 15th

Hallmark stores started selling ornaments today!  I was there bright and early to get Moondancer.  Also got Soundwave for my transformers collection.

Congrats. There's no Hallmark store near me so I had to order online. I got Moondancer also.

I live in the UK - I just searched online - oh wow Moondancer looks so pretty with her magenta mane and tail!

Thanks for the video. It looks like the hair is really red instead of the magenta in the promo pic.

Guess I should have pulled out my Moondancer for comparison.  Sorry!

So comparing the two, I'd say they matched it as close as you could expect them to. The original has a slightly more wine/ yellow cast were as the ornament has a *slightly* more pink cast.  But it's just as dark in value as the original.  I'd take a comparison pic but I haven't gotten around to finding another pic hosting service since the photobucket fiasco.

No worries. I'm glad the ornament's hair is close match to the G1 Moondancer.

Got mine today, and immediately introduced her to my original childhood Moondancer.
Well actually hubby got her for me today - we totally forgot on the weekend, but hubby works in the same mall as the Hallmark store, so he went over on lunch.

Ooooh-  I hope like Cotton Candy she doesn't sell out fast, I really want to get the Rainbow Brite one too but it isn't released until October

I love mine too. Did any one else have a problem where the paint on their ornament was tacky? I was at a store and literally every one the paint was stuck to the tissue paper in the box.

Mine did.  I thought it was just my ornament. I had to peel the paper off around her middle and ear.

Yes, mine was tacky too. Very carefully peeled the tissue paper off.
I need to find something else to wrap her in for storage.
