This thread is great, I have a Posey who's in dire need of a re pinking! I'll probably give the watercolour method a crack, since I know there's some in the house...

I don't use that kind of dye or watercolours (I might give it a go though)

My method is to take some of my own hair dye (I use manic panic/special effects/SCREAM)
And select a pink colour (Flamingo or something along those lines, I get a bowl and I add one part dye to 2-3 parts shampoo (Depending on the darkness of the colour) and I mix it up and lather it in my pony's hair until it goes bubbly and rinse it off, it needs a few times doing sometimes but this way you can build it up and make sure you don't over pink.
I've also done this using conditioner and soaking..
I'll have to take some pictures one day :)

I love all these alternate methods!  :)  One of the repinking candidates is currently wearing a foil hat in my window (my first sunfading project).  As soon as she's back to white, I will gather up the ponies and start!

Hmmm...the use of watercolor paint makes me wonder...would food coloring work, or would it potentially bleed onto the pony's body? Has anyone heard of this or tried this?

I saw someone re-pinking with food colour in a finnish pony blog.  Apparently it will stain the pony easily while you are re-pinking, but after you are done, it wont bleed out of the hair.

great tutorial Evelynea, though I can't try it yet as I have no pony who needs repinking... other than steamer who has a bright pink tail and faded mane... which is actually nice looking XD
