Is it true that :muffin: Pony sold out already at the Comic Con? If that's really the case then there won't be any to put on the site. This really sucks because I really want her but I can't afford to get one off of eBay, plus I don't have an eBay account anyway. Hasbro really screwed up with this. First they way underestimate the number of her they'd need at the fair, then the do the same thing at SDCC. I bet most of them are going to eBay scalpers. I hate that.

Yes, usually all the ComicCon stuff will go up at the same time. As others have said. Usually the site crashes because it can't handle the load from everyone since there are people buying the Transformers, LPS, etc exclusives all at the same time.
Years before, I wouldn't have worried about being right there when the pony went live. With her popularity though I'm sure this will be one of the few years the pony sells out ridiculously quick. From both Scalpers & Collectors trying to get her. Additionally, years past the limit was 4 per household. I wouldn't be surprised if this years limit was 2-3 as at the actual convention.
And as mentioned, sometimes it's Tuesday too. There's never been a real 'announcement' before. At least not that I recall from Hasbro.

There is no 100% confirmation on time Hasbro have never offered that they will just say "check periodically"...the time quoted earlier of 9am EST is just what has traditionally has been roughly when they show up but in all honesty it could be any time from 9am Monday onwards.Thanks for the code! Last year, the Comic-Con sale didn't start until the Tuesday after Comic-Con. I just double-checked my emails and I am certain of this fact. I did wait around all day Monday but nothing came out of it. So if you don't see anything come up today, don't panic.
The sale started around 12pm EDT (9am PDT). My son has preschool in the summer at 12:15pm and I was racing the clock (and ultimately failed) to get the exclusives because I had to get him to school.
If you want to save yourself some time (and a better chance of getting exclusives during the rush), log into your hasbrotoyshop account ahead of time. It's one less thing you'll need to fight on the server.

I've been stalking the Hasbro shop since yesterday, although I caved and bought one already from Ebay. I didn't want her to fly away and never have a chance to catch her for myself.
Hasbro toy shop is giving me a major case of the sads. So is my unresponsive preseller. I'm going to go stare at all the ponies I DO have to remind myself that no matter how much I want Best Pony, I have a crapload of ponies, and don't actually *need* any more.

Yeah, I noticed that. I clicked on refresh and it took like 2 seconds.
I'll probably head to Wal-Mart and Target this weekend to see if they've added anything new yet. Probably not, though. The midwest seems to be the last to stock anything new. Last time I was at Target, the toy section was a mess and most of the stuff they had left was on clearance, so I guess they're close to doing the reset of the toy section. Last time I was at Wal-Mart, they had a bunch of wave 3, 4, & 5 singles, the Glimmer Wings, talking Pinkie and a bunch of the Pinkie Pie & Sweetie Belle set. Oh, and a box of wave 1 blind bags. I remember last year, Wal-Mart didn't add any new stuff until around mid-September, where Target had all the new stuff by the beginning of August.

I never had much issue with timezones. I was born in IL (Central time) and raised in MI (Eastern time) and I've always gone back and forth between the two time zones because of family in both states. Then my brother and his wife moved to Mesa, AZ for awhile so we had to keep their timezone in mind when calling them. Of course, that was really strange to get used to because since they don't change their clocks for DST, so we had to keep in mind whether they were on Mountain or Pacific time.

Unfortunately we cannot give you a precise day or time that the items will be scheduled to go live as there are several factors that come into play – leftover stock needs to be inventoried at the close of the convention, loaded onto trailers and shipped to our warehouse where it needs to be received, recounted and examined for damages and put into stock. This lol. Been getting up early for this. I originally set my alarm for 7:55am yesterday. It went off, I got up, and decided just to check from my phone and go back to sleep. I must've dozed off doing it because I had a dream that she was on the site and sold out while I was ordering. it's normal for the exclusive to peak around $150 then drop back down, even as far back as 2007 it was happening. :) The sky high prices are really not anything new.

Man, I hate to say it, but I've been thinking about it... Hasbro doesn't have the best communication within their staff. Just because the folks who manage the Facebook said it doesn't mean that the people working SDCC knew about it, and might have sold all their stock without realizing that they should have been saving some for the site. Of course, I could be totally wrong, and I really hope that's not the case, but we've all run into issues with Hasbro's poor communication before, I think. I'll never forget how many times Hasbro flip-flopped on whether or not the US and UK would be receiving blind bags.

They say that every year, that they will put up what's left. People freak out and flock to eBay, and then they put a bunch on the site a few days after SDCC. Every year they last longer and longer. Hasbro isn't dumb they know what they're doing. They know everyone is waiting.

Most likely are little grey pegasus will be ages 3 and up while other action figures and Transformers will be rated older.I'm not sorting the exclusives page because there's only 6 items, and I've got it set to 27 per page. But I like your thinking!

I'm sitting around hoping that this whole Ditzy Doo disaster was just a big ploy by the Hasbro team to make a lot of money. Bring a very limited amount to first fair, make her seem ULTRA rare. Bring a very limited amount to SDCC so they all sell out and everyone is flipping out. Leave the fans foaming at the mouth for days trying to figure out when they'll go up online.If this is the case then I can die happy lol. Could you imagine the uproar that would cause?!
Then put TONS of them on the website so that everyone jumps on in a terrible rush to make sure they get one and buy up multiples of them before they realize that aren't nearly as rare as they thought. Hasbro makes lots of money, the fans are super happy that they were able to get her, and the only people getting 'screwed' in the deal is the scalpers. ;D I know it's probably way too optimistic but that's what I've been hoping for ever since SDCC ended. XD

I barely slept last night at all. I kept dreaming that :muffin: Pony was on the site and I was missing it so I'd wake up and realize I was just dreaming, then it would happen again. Like I could see her on the site in my dream, but I couldn't get to the computer to order her. It was really strange. I half expected to check this morning to find she'd been added and sold out last night or something.
Ughh, it feels like it's never going to happen! Part of me is really worried that after all this waiting, she won't be available after all! As someone whos bought the con pony for the past couple years I doubt they ran out. Although this is the longest year we've had to wait. In the past it was the first monday after the con and there was a link right on the front page for con exclusives. Ugh this year is torture!!!

I think it's mostly adults. The con/art ponies aren't really considered "play things" as far as I understand. Then again, Ditzy was in the show, even if she had a very minor one-time speaking role, so maybe.

Yeah, that seems to be the case. I think it's kind of funny that Hasbro keeps catering to them with the toys when they don't really buy the brushables in the first place.
But Ditzy is special, I guess. Bronies kind of consider her their brainchild of sorts since they "created" her. Not to mention that she's a highly collectible exclusive. I think some of them will put aside their hatred of "show inaccurate" brushables for the sake of owning Hasbro's gift to them.

Yeah, seconding this. It's a pretty small minority who collect the toys, and TBH, most of them are worlds more interesting than the 'typical' fans. If I ever hear "eww, brushable hair, why doesn't Hasbro cater to its biggest fanbase and make molded-only ponies?" again, it will be too soon!Honestly if they switched completely to molded hair just for the fan base, I'd be angry. I doubt there was ever a plan for a Dizzy brushable size, or if there was it must have gotten canned at the planning stage. Nothing weird about that! One of the things that makes it a classic is the diverse character personalities. There is someone in the cast for everyone to love. :) I've always been a Sailor V fan myself. :D

I'm sorry for the people who didn't get one. I had the problem where it wouldn't let me check out either. It was in my cart, but my subtotal was showing up as 0. I wonder if it's a browser issue....I was in Internet Explorer at first, then had to open up Firefox, sign into HTS again, and after that I was able to get one.

I had the same problem. I ran to another computer (just in case it was an issue with my computer) and logged in again and managed to finish the order before they ran out.
I haven't gotten an order confirmation email from them yet, but I do have an order number listed for her in my account.

I used Chrome as my browser and I was logged into their site, had PayPal as my option and it didn't give me any trouble. I'm glad I didn't try entering my card separately from the sound of it! Nonetheless I feel horrible for everyone else who waited and prepared and had it fail :(

Last year's pony randomly popped up a number of times, but Ditzy Doo is a whole different beast. If they go through and uphold their one per household limit and cancel multiple orders, there's a chance she can go back into stock.

Yes, it should have... Hasbro is probably having too much faith in people to abide by their rules (not just for Ditzy, but for all of their SDCC stuff) and made that you can't increase the quantity in each separate order. But when it gets run through as a new order it doesn't actually process an order was JUST made for that address. And proxies are just used to get past all the lag so people can do it faster, from my understanding on other toy sites.

It's been a long time since posted :p. I also missed out on it, me and a friend of mine have been sitting on the site since Saturday. She got one and I missed it because she came up just at the time that a family member decided to talk to me about getting lunch! Super frustrating! I literally was constantly refreshing from 12:00-12:02 and just missed her! Anyway, I also sen a letter to Hasbro but I doubt it will get me anywhere complaining about a few things. Doubt any of us will get anywhere. And I'm not supporting the scalpers on eBay at $80 for her.

I didn't get very far either but the lady I spoke with said that they are doing extra checking to make sure that the same credit card wasn't used with different addresses provided - so people won't be able to get more than one. She said she doubts any more will become available again today but to check back frequently because they will be going "in and out of stock," for a while.
I'm not going to get my hopes up but I suppose there is no harm in checking the site now and then.

Since I didn't see that part until after I ordered, I thought it was one per order. A few people posted on the Arena that they got multiples, even with that one per household limit. Also, many people had her in their cart but couldn't check out due to an error. So the people who couldn't get one complained to Hasbro Customer Service about people getting multiples then Hasbro started canceling the multiple orders.

This is true -- it happens every year with the SDCC exclusives, and not just with pony orders. It doesn't have anything to do with other people complaining. They know it's going to happen. It just takes them awhile to sort through all the orders and cancel the multiples.

Does anyone know what shipping service (UPS, FedEx, etc) that Hasbro uses? I've only ordered from them once (last year's SDCC pony), but I don't remember how she arrived. I hope it's not FedEx. I hate FedEx.They send it to a courier company (usually Streamlite, but will sometimes use UPS SmartPost) that will bring bring it to your nearest USPS sort facility to then be brought to your local post office, so when they ship it out it won't track via USPS right away it'll be one of those two sites you'll have to check first. It will always end up in USPS's hands though.

Hrrrm. If this is the case, I might be in trouble. >_< The USPS won't deliver to my house, that's why we bought a PO box at the post office. But when I tried to put in my PO box on HTS they said they don't deliver to PO Boxes, so I had to put in my street address.

Oh yes, I had forgotten about that! I had a friend who did that because they lived in an apartment and their packages were always getting stolen.
I'll call the post office and talk to them about that option. My post office workers are extreme jerks, but if it's an option the post office does, they have to abide by the rules, I think.
Can you imagine how sucky it would be if Dizzy made it all the way to my town and then got SENT BACK to Hasbro!? >_<

I'm writing today just to express my absolute disappointment in glitches or errors in the website that kept several people from being able to attempt to by con exclusives before they sold out.
Like many people I had been checking the site (and other sites that were watching the Hasbro Toy shop for updates) for the past two days, and I just happened to be lucky enough to refresh just as she was put up. I proceeded to try and buy her. I clicked 'proceed to checkout' atleast 15 times, but my subtotal remained at $0 and it just kept taking me to the same page. I thought perhaps it was a mistake so I deleted the item and added it again. Once again I clicked many times only to have nothing happen. Finally I thought perhaps the problem had to do with Paypal being my payment type, so I went into my account information and added a credit card in and tried again. Again nothing would happen, always a subtotal of $0 even as people around me are claiming to have gotten not just one of her but two and three.
Finally after she was totally sold out a few people figured out that the problem had to do with the fact that we were already logged into our Hasbro Toy Store accounts, and that logging off and relogging in fixed the $0 glitch. But of course this was long after she was already sold out.
I've been a customer of Hasbro and My Little Pony for years. I've bought from the website many times (including one big order of 10-15 of the blank ponies) just as a for instance. So I'm absolutely furious that the reason I was unable to get the Comic con pony is 'because' I am a previous customer and was already signed into the site. Repeat customers should have the same, if not a better chance at things in my opinion, not be penalized.
I have also seen many people stating that they ordered more then 1 pony despite the one per household limit, which I'm sure helped a lot in how quickly she sold out. This is entirely unfair and, even if I don't manage to get one myself, I really hope as a company that you hold to your word and make sure it stays 1 per household, and cancel out those duplicate orders.
I'm sorry if any of the message was harsh, I'm just really upset at the whole exclusive situation and drama considering how quickly she sold out (at the fair, at SDCC, and now on the website). If I had missed her because I wasn't around it wouldn't have been that big of a deal, but to miss her because of a website glitch is heartbreaking.

Good News Everyone!! (well for you guys, not for my sisters though)Oh, that's a relief. I've been worried sick about my own order as well ever since I found out about the limit. So, so glad I made them separate orders. :D
As you may have heard, I ordered 3 separate Ditzy Doos to the same address (one for me, the others for my sisters). Two of them were cancelled while the other one says "not shipped". Hasbro must be canceling multiple orders now, which means those who did not get one the first time have another chance to get her!!! I am just glad they did not completely cancel all of my orders! ^^; :good:
Does anyone know how they are doing the 1 per household? I want one and my sister wants one if they go back up could I do two separate orders one sent to my house and the other to hers?
Did anyone actually respond to hasbros generic response? I did and havn't gotten anything back yet. I'm wondering if the second email may get a actual human responding instead of the stupid mass email they sent out.

As for those that ordered 2 or three without realizing the limit, don't feel bad about it. The thing I think that is frustrating most people are the resellers, not those that had the good intentions of getting one for a friend or for those overseas. I'm watching eBay like a hawk right now and I am betting in a few days there are going to be sellers with 5-6 of them because they managed to trick the system even with Hasbro deleting multiple orders.
Just crossings fingers that when/if she goes back up all of us dissapointed will have a better chance.
I never saw her as "mentally challenged" or anything like that. That's society trying to ruin everything by being "politically correct". You can make negative connotations for everything if you look hard enough.

So this thread is like 70 pages, and I was wondering did Ditzy Doo ever show up on the Hasbro's website for sale? I bought mine for $55 off ebay on Saturday because I was just couldn't wait.

I am so happy that I had prismatic pick that doll up for me at the con. I nearly didn't ask her to do it.
I think as a general rule, SDCC exclusives aren't released generally, because that makes them not "exclusive" anymore. I have seen, with Uglydolls for example, that sometimes the same SDCC exclusive is also offered at the NY Comic Con in the fall.
I basically sent them back a message saying that there generic copy and pasted response did nothing to answer the problem with people getting glitches during checkout. That if customer service was truly their number one priority then they would be doing something more to assure us that this problem will not happen again the the future, and that they would be nice to offer those with cart glitches that caused them to miss out first chance at the cancelled orders.

Jem was actually the very first thing to sell out! I was a bit stunned.
I spoke to hasbrotoyshop representatives and was informed these points
They are completely sold out of ponies and will not be selling or making any more.
There was a limit of one per household.
Those that tried to purchase multiples will have their orders cut to only 1.
There is a waiting list that is to be used in case anyone tried to purchase multiples, those remainders will go to the people on the list and they will be contacted.
Finally, The waiting list is full. They have the almost the amount of people on the list as there were toys that were available

It surprises me that Hasbro wouldn't do another run of her if they were looking for profits. I mean they sold out at the fair, and at the comic con very very quickly then sold out online faster then I think even they anticipated. I know it would anger some people because it would decrease the value but honestly as a collector I don't do it for the value of my stuff. It's because they remind me of a happy carefree time of my life. At $20 a pony they could make a killing just making 500-1000 more of them.
i just ended up buying on on ebay for $60. it annoys me that i went to the orlando pony con, and came home without the exclusive.. now the toy shop is sold out. i just figure if they come available again. ill pop her back onto ebay..

Sorry if I sound snarky, but it really isn't going to happen. The best you can hope for is a design change, or a brushable. But there is a reason they chose to do this pony for the cons, so I doubt that will happen too.

I'm with you here, Eevee. Exclusive items are limited edition items. Exclusive items sell out. That is kind of the whole point. They are not designed to me made in mass numbers so everyone can get them. Sure it's always disappointing when people who really want one didn't get one, but that's just part of the game. We do what we can to get them ourselves and to help out our fellow collectors, but at the end of the day when it's gone it's gone. I think a lot of people just didn't expect it so fast with this years pony because the previous years haven't sold an insanely fast, but they still sell out eventually and they don't remake them.

There is NO indication at ALL that Hasbro will be doing another toy of Ditzy, or featuring her on any merchandise. In the past Hasbro has never done anything like that with their exclusives.
People in this thread are just doing wishful thinking, hoping she'll be released again in the future in some way. But there's been no indication this will be the case.
I just don't want to get people's hopes up. :\ Some of the talk here can get confusing with people chatting back and forth about different things.

My mom was a bit taken back that I'd spent a total of $30 on Ditzy. "OMG! Isn't that kinda high for a pony?!" I pulled up my ebay app on my phone and went to rattling off ended auction prices. One went for just under $160. She thought I did pretty darn good after that! XD

So assuming different credit cards held by different people with the shipping to different addresses (But you live together and used the same account) would be fine? Like if you had a family member buy one for a friend and you bought one for yourself?

I just got a scare. I received an email saying that due to the screening process, my order had been canceled. I expected this. Then I got another email saying my other order had been canceled! I started freaking out! Thankfully, after talking with customer service, one is being shipped (the first email), the other canceled. Shoo! That's a relief. :sweat:

I feel like I must be misinterpreting something here.
As far as I can tell, Hasbro had a "one Ditzy per person" rule, presumably to give everyone an equal chance at getting one, and/or to prevent scalpers from buying up all of them on the spot. Seems fair to me. And then I see this thread, full of people who are actually bragging about breaking that rule by using multiple shipping addresses. Nobody minds that? Really? I've no interest in Ditzy personally, but judging from the 80+ pages of this thread, there were a LOT of people who really wanted one but didn't get one. Placing a second order using a different credit card is kind of like getting a free sample at the grocery store, then going around a corner and putting on a mustache and hat, then getting back in line for another free sample. Except in this case the free sample is a very sought-after (and not free) pony.

I don't think it's wrong for everyone in the house to have an exclusive; I think it is a sweet and worthwhile endeavor, as I have siblings as well, and I have often hunted like crazy for ponies that they wanted. (Lemme tell you, finding three CMC sets last Christmas was tough!) But I do feel it is in poor taste, when many people are still smarting from the "loss" of a pony they wanted very badly (not that anyone 'deserves' the pony more than anyone else, of course), to be discussing how many ponies you got, or how excited you are to have a pony. Yes, we're all happy for you; but it's difficult to be happy when you are still sitting here with no pony. Perhaps this is not the best thread to be happy in? Especially if we still have members who are actively hunting for said pony. Why don't we start a group-brag thread instead? :)
Maybe I'm just being oversensitive here - but this is the 'stalking Ditsy' thread, not the 'bragging about Ditsy' thread. But, like I said - you are free to do as you want, everyone has the right to free speech. But other people have the right to call you out on what you say, as well.
Why did they have to use FedEx? :cry: I hate FedEx. They always run half way up the driveway and toss my package up on the steps, then run back to the truck. They never knock or anything so unless I just happen to be watching for them, I wouldn't know my package was there and it would get stolen. And packages that need signatures are even worse because they pre fill out the little notice about how they missed you, stick it on the door without knocking and run back to the truck. Sometimes they don't even bother, they just mark it as "attempted delivery" even when they didn't. Well, the tracking says it should be delivered on the 25th (why does it take so long, anyway? UPS would only be like 3-4 days) so I'll be sitting near the window and as soon as I see the FedEx truck, I'll be running to the door. I'm not taking any chances.
Ugh, I hate fedex for the same reasons, ShortyBoo! Fedex has NEVER knocked and I'm home pretty much all day. UPS is a bit better, they at least knock before running off! :lol:

I called hasbro and got through just now! The lady said they are filtering through orders right now to fish out multiple names to one address, and shipping as they go. She was unable to give any info regarding when more Ditzy Doos will be in. Sounds like they do have limited quantities, and are trying to stretch out the first batch. Im sure there will be plenty to go around quite soon, and then they'll lift the one per household thing. Btw, the lady sounded quite stressed from all the Ditzy Doo calls, i bet she's having a loooooong day!

ahhh there was a bit of a mix-up with my credit card, which I called and corrected. They've since charged my card for her, but the shipping status is still marked as Not Shipped even though the expected ship date was 7/19. I'm a bit worried!!

Ugh me too! At least while I was out yesterday, I FINALLY found some new stuff (talking Cadance and some of the Wave 3 blind bags) so I've got SOMETHING new to occupy myself with in the meantime. Cadance and Celestia can have conceit wars 8) "My dress is SO pretty!" "My barettes are so pretty!"
I found them at a TrU. So they were 50% more expensive, so I only picked up three of the boys, Heartstrings, and Glowy Rarity. The box was behind an open box of Wave 1, I almost missed it! My area is usually reallllllllyyyyyy slow to get new stuff though, so I was pretty surprised. Nor Cal ALWAYS has stuff long before it shows up in my area.
I also saw last year's comic con pony at the swap meet at a comic shop-y booth. But they wanted $45 for her. And they knew who she was...Apparently they didn't get the memo that it's only the Fair ponies that sell for that much, and that Comic Con is, aside form this year, more of a $20 pony lol. Still neat to see her in person though.

Yeah... I was pretty confident I was going to nab Scarah! I didn't buy Ditzy for trade fodder either - I want her for my collection because she's so different. If I was in your shoes I would report that seller. I understand things happen but I highly doubt they lost a package. If they were shipping it to you it would have a tracking number.

I have this awful feeling that my $88 ebay purchase was a scam. The delivery confirmation code they gave me isn't even in USPS's system, and it's been like that since Thursday. :huh:I to am in a similar situation. Nothings been updated......
That might mean they haven't taken it to the post yet. Sometimes they enter it online and pay for shipping but then they wait to drop it off or have it picked up. It has happened to me a few times too and only once did it end up being a problem but I was refunded.

I'm getting worried because the tracking on mine isn't moving. According to the tracking, it left CA early in the morning on 7/20, but there haven't been any scans since. Are they walking it to IL or something? I just don't get what's taking so long where it wouldn't have arrived near here yet when it's supposed to be delivered tomorrow.

I just checked my tracking and it arrived in Illinois last night and was sent to Indiana where it arrived this morning. It says it's on the truck for delivery, but I hope they're not trying to deliver it to some address in Indiana instead of my address, which is in Illinois. With UPS, when it's out for delivery, it's not in my town, but a neighboring one that's only a couple of miles from here. But Munster, IN is pretty far from here. I just hope she arrives ok.

It looks like they forgot to curl it or something. It doesn't look like the hair I've seen on pics of her with the thick curls. It just looks like I used a straight iron on her hair when I didn't.

I don't really see your point. They aren't asking people to bid obscene amounts of money on a hunk of plastic, people are becoming frantic and doing it themselves. If they are putting their items up for .99 cents starting bid, with no reserve they clearly know it could easily sell for that (though, logically it won't.. it'll go higher, but there's still that chance), and I fail to see how that is greedy if it's the buyers putting bids on the item, not the seller.So if the people bidding on them cause the pony to shoot up to $80-90, I don't think it's fair to be all hating on ebay sellers. I disagree. If you're a seller on ebay and you put a SUPER popular and rare item up for auction, even if you started that auction for 99 cents, you KNOW it's going to go super high. They're still doing it to be greedy. In fact, they're being even MORE greedy than the BIN people because they think she will go higher with an auction than with a BIN price!
Trust me, no seller on ebay is going "Oooh, I'll put Dizzy up for 99 cent starting bid so poor people can get her!"

Just a comment about ebay being a ripoff... There have been a lot of negative comments about people selling these ponies on ebay and getting a lot of money for them. Now, the people listing her with really high BiNs might be more guilty of being greedy, but a lot of the ponies selling on ebay are auction style. And a huge majority of the ones I've looked at have started right around list price. So if the people bidding on them cause the pony to shoot up to $80-90, I don't think it's fair to be all hating on ebay sellers. Pony fans are doing this to the prices, not the sellers.

I know people are upset not to have her, but I really wish people would stop getting angry with Hasbro about this. I think they did the best job they could in this situation. They put all the extra ponies up online. They imposed a limit of one pony per household so people couldn't come in and grab a ton of ponies to scalp, which meant more people had the opportunity to get her at a fair price. And then every time there were multiple orders they relisted the extras to give more people a chance. I'm sorry that people who wanted her haven't gotten her - but she is a limited edition exclusive item. She was going to sell out, that's the nature of it. I think that given the limited run Hasbro handled these sales really well to try and make things fair.

It's so true! It's almost like people missed out on a really cool pony that they've been wanting for a long time, and are upset by it! It's like ... who gets irrational when they're upset? Who does that?

They handled it poorly. They shouldn't have made a wait list they didn't honor, they should have a better program that picks up duplicate orders before they get made, they should have done a lot of things.

I think the wait list was just a rumor. When I called CS, I was told there wasn't one.
Hmm, I'm not entirely sure, but most of what I saw about it was, "I heard on xyz that there was a wait list." I, personally, only saw one person claim on EQD that they got on a list by calling. I have to disagree with the posters who said that Hasbro handled this very well. I think the reps and CS did a good job, judging by the responses in this thread, but the ordering and listing process was terrible. What I think they should have done was to put a limit on how many of the exclusive pony people can actually put in their cart, rather than letting people order several and then going back and cancelling the extra orders.
And they should have announced a release date for when the pony was going up on the site to prevent the constant site refreshing. Can't be good for their bandwidth.
As for criticising how Hasbro handles stuff, I very much doubt they'll be all sad and disheartened that some people are unhappy with them. They are a big, professional company and can handle criticism. They'll either take into account the complaints and improve things next year, or they'll just ignore them, complaints bouncing off their thick corporate hide. Anyway, if people don't express their disappointment, Hasbro won't know and things most definitely won't change then.
I thought the online release was reasonable, but SDCC sounded ridiculous. The stories of people having to race from line to line, and spending hours in line only to get nothing, sounded horrible.
I know this is still the 'stalking Ditzy' thread, but I wanted to say - I got my Bubblecup today! I know, it makes no sense, seeing as I missed out on all of the HTS releases! (I'm still just as screwed-over as everyone else in that regard.) But I got lucky and made a trade for her last week, and she just got here today! She is so super-cute, I'm trying to decide whether I want to take her out or not! (I definitely want a loose one, but I'm not sure if I should open her, or try to buy a super-expensive one to open. Eugh!)
Anyway, I just wanted to update, since I'd hate to be like "man I still hate Hasbro!" and confuse people. I still hate Hasbro, but now I don't have to feel QUITE so much hate. ;) But still plenty of dislike to go around!
