Shame on me, I completely forgot to also take photos of the pony wear I ordered together with Braided Beauty the day before yesterday. Skylark has just had the pleasure to try it on, doesn't she look snug? :lovey:

Braided Beauty was a childhood pony of mine and she's so precious. Yours looks to be in lovely shape as well :D Congratulations on your new addition!
Can I ask a nosy question - what do her hooves say, China or Hong Kong? It's not hugely important, just my curiosity xD. I'm trying to figure out where Chinese versions are more prevalent.

Yes, she's in great shape. I've given her a soap bath as there was some light grime behind her wings, now she looks like new. :)
Her hooves say Hong Kong. I don't know her history, so I can't say where she was sold originally, perhaps Nella knows?

THanks for humouring my curiosity :D Most Brush & Grows are made in HK worldwide, the Chinese ones don't show up so often, and it's hard trying to get a handle on where they might have been most commonly distributed. Europe seems likely, but even here most of the ones that show up are HK. I've only seen one Pretty Vision in person, and a Braided Beauty which I picked up at Ponycon is the only one I own...
So yeah, it's an ongoing curiosity for me.

It's definitely interesting to do some research on what version was sold where. If I look at the ponies I've had since childhood, I can see that all the earlier ponies were Italians, except the Dream Castle came with HK Majesty instead of the (also existing) Italian version. Then HK Moonstone and Skydancer (the one without wings in Posey Pose) were sold over here, even though there are Italian versions of both, and Nightlight is also HK, she was sold here as well. After that, it was Italy again with the Unicorn and Pegasus and Rainbow Ponies series plus Hopscotch, just the babies were all Hong Kong. After that, I guess Italy ceased to produce ponies, as the following series (Twinkle-Eyed Ponies, Twice as Fancy Ponies) were all made in HK, while the Flutters were made in China.
I would actually love to read a thesis on this topic. :biggrin:

More ponies from Nella! This week, Buttons, School Pony, Ringlets and Wind Whistler joined the herd. :lovey: Baby Buttons who be seen on three of the pics isn't new, she is a childhood pony and so happy to finally have a mummy so naturally, she wanted to join her. :)

I love the deflocked Wind Whistler and Buttons. I didn't know there was a Baby Buttons...here I always think I've seen pretty much every pony ever made, and then MLP somehow still has the ability to surprise me. I was about to ask if she was a custom, but then I reread and saw you mentioned that she was a childhood pony. She's cute!

Yes, Wind Whistler still has lovely pink hair. It's a bit discoloured to shades of brown in places, but you can't see it very well when the hair is dry.
Ringlets is in great condition, especially compared to the current ebay listings. Her body is hardened, a bit glossy and somewhat faded around the muzzle, but I learned yesterday that the hardening seems to be a problem that other ponies in this pose seem to suffer from as well. I now have four ponies in that pose and after learning about this hardening problem I checked my other three: my childhood ponies Sweet Stuff and Gingerbread are very hard as well (not glossy though), only Mint Dreams is still squishy. But it doesn't matter, she looks beautiful on display and her hair is stunning.

Wind Whistler is not deflocked, she was sold this way in Europe :): https://data.mlpmerch.com/g1/details/g1nunnowi/ You can spot the difference between a deflocked Wind Whistler and the European version in her symbols. SS Wind Whistler has pink whistes while European WW has pink and blue whistles. Then I think the European version's body is a lighter blue, but I'm not sure about that.

Oh wow, well I like this version better! Thanks for sharing these links. I only recently discovered that Shady was released in Europe as a NSS as well and I thought she striking. So many ponies that we didn't get here in the US...glad I didn't know about them as a kid, or it would have driven me crazy that I had no way of collecting them!
