Hi,
I found the first wave of the School of Friendship singles today. I think Trixie's my favorite out of these. I love her glittery stars.

She flew into a lighting pylon and she;s now covered in electric cables.
Or that's what it looks like. It's probably ribbon.
I love Trixie's stars and colour scheme. Hate the pose but meh. It might happen anyway, if the UK gets these at all. Right now, not totally sure what's going on in UK world with G4. May have to visit Entertainer to see if they;ve got over pearly wave 1 yet.

Twilight's got sparkles-like fireworks. It's neat, and it's wonderful they're beginning to pop up. I'll sit this round out unless they show up at my workplace or someone gifts them to me. They look odd without any glitter on their faces.

I see stars with twinkles connected by something on Twilight. I agree with Taffeta that it’s probably supposed to be ribbon.

Really excited for when this set hits my local Walmart! Trixie is definitely the one I'm most excited for as this is her first reboot mold toy, but I will probably get the entire set because I like these glitter TAF symbols so much.

i wish they had more hair. and how they package these makes them look like they even have less hair than they do. sort of a spraying waterfall look. i wouldn’t even mind if the hair was shorter but had more plugs down the back of the head.
and who knows how the texture will be? is it razor wire this time? or will it be soft? or does it come with the patented Auto-Frizz feature.
sorry to rant. just burned on G4 now I guess.

Thank you for sharing! Trixie is my favorite G4 pony to collect, and I'm really happy that she looks so good in the new style! I've been hoping to find her soon and knowing that she's been spotted in stores is great! The eyes are a bit big, but hey, what can you do. Twilight and Applejack's prints seem a bit too busy, but I still like this sort of... mock-twice-as-fancy design? Not sure what to call it, but it's unique and I like it! Would've been nice to see some printing on Twilight's wings, or maybe a symbol on their forehead or cheek to balance things out, but it should be easy enough to paint a small one on there. :P

I bought Trixie a few weeks back and I can say that the stock photos etc don't do her justice: she is sooo gorgeous in real life. I'm totally in love with her, lol! The starry glittery pattern is really beautiful and catches the light in many pretty ways.
As for her hair... well it's not too bad? Definitely not the worst G4 hair. Not the best either but it's decently silky-feeling.

They are lovely! I don't really collect from this incarnation however I love the glittery TAFness and my favourite is Applejack because it's nearly Halloween!

I checked Entertainer in Wimbledon (I didn't mean to go there, it's a long story, see trivial complaints) but they didn't have anything new. Lots of old stuff. (They have lots of the EQG Shadowbolts Sunny Flare and whatever the other one is...the blue/purple one and the pink/yellow one anyway still, even though the website says they no longer sell these...so that says everything.)
I did see a POP Mokey fraggle which was nostalgic. I had mokey as a kid and carried her all around everywhere, she was my favourite and my go to toy before ponies took over xD.
But nothing exciting like these sparklies. I hope they will get here by Christmas. Haven't actually checked my own Entertainer yet. As I said, trip to Wimbledon not planned. Blame TFL buses.

That Trixie meanwhile might become my new favorite 4.5 (apart from the [non-mane six, because better hair quality] seaponies; it's unlikely any new releases will ever surpass those in my books), depending on how her hair is. Really hoping it feels more like hair than like hay. :P

I’ve been thinking about it for awhile and I think one reason Twilight, Applejack and Pinkie look off is because the glittery part of their symbols goes outside the outline of the regular symbols. Trixie’s glittery stars seem well defined. I think Applejack might have looked better with green glitter lines instead of red.

I found these in Denmark this past week at BR Toy shops. I'm still not sure about the 3.5 style but I love the sparkle designs all over them so bought a couple.

I just noticed these are also on Hasbro Toy Shop and the descriptions are so funny. They all mention "she has a glittery design printed on her to imagine her getting sparkly after a day of (changes to fit each pony) So is that how G4 ponies relax, they put glitter on themselves? :lol:

Does anyone know when the Silverstream & Fluttershy set will be available in stores in the US? I've been checking Walmart and the local toy stores regularly, but still nothing there. Amazon also still has it listed as "currently unavailable".
The glittery singles are in my local Walmart, though, and I'm thinking of picking up Twilight and Trixie. Theirs are surprisingly pretty :)

I found one Silver Stream and Fluttershy set at my Target but not at Walmart. Most of my Walmart stores still have a lot of the Movie 2 packs but it looked like they were starting to take them off the shelves over the weekend to make room for new items.

Does Sandbar have a mane down the back of his neck? In the official product picture they photoshopped him awkwardly, so it's hard to tell. I am guessing he does because the prototypes / early releases on Taobao do.

I'm still not fond of the G4.5 body shapes, but I do love the fact that the mane is so much fuller than on most of the other G4's I've bought.

I saw the Fluttershy/Starlight Glimmer Animal Care Set today at Walmart.

They ruined a perfectly cute pony design with those dumb "fierce" eyes. Him and RD should swap.

I can see where he sort of looks fierce, but to me it's more of a "droopy-eyed super relaxed look". Like, in an actual high school he'd definitely be a stoner.

(My camera really screwed with the colors so they're pretty inaccurate.)
Edit: I do really REALLY love his symbol. Sea turtles!! Also it's nice that there are three of them instead of one big turtle, that's almost an early-G1 touch.
