I don't think these are in stores yet! I just read on EQD that Build-a-Bear posted these up on their online database.
And I haven't heard anything about whether or not these are the only two but I'm hoping they will make the Mane 6 ^.^

I got a few months before I'm back home with a local Build-a-Bear (out of state college student, whoo!) so I can wait.
My friend and I are both hoping for all of the mane six as well. She wants a Fluttershy and I want an AJ to go with Rainbow Dash.

Oh how cute! I really like their eyes, and it looks like they have brushable hair, which reminds me of the old G1 plushies :) They look a little bit chunky, but I'm sure they look better in real life; I don't think we're seeing them from the best angle.
I've recently acquired my first build-a-bear animals and was really impressed by the quality, so I'm sure these will be great....although I'm really really hoping we'll see Applejack too! (And also really really hoping a new BAB will open up closer to home, since the nearest one is 2 1/2 hours away and buying online isn't nearly as fun :P )

Meh. They look ok. I kinda prefer funrise's noodle hair. If they were going to have Rarity and/or Fluttershy I would be more interested.

It's funny, the one I wanted least would be Rainbow Dash, but she looks the best of those two. That hair is making the difference. I would love big poofy haired pinkie pie instead <3
All that said, I would still rather have a Rarity and a Celestia. Can't wait to see what they end up with in the stores, I only ever go for Hello Kitty :hope:

Also, maybe I am missing something here, but what is the point of "building" them? They look like finished characters. What can you do to customize them, stick a hat on them? x_x; It would be so neat if you could pick out your own hair, body, and cutie mark, but I don't think build-a-bear is set up like that. Oh well, I'll wait til these come out, but I rather just skip the silly stuffing process and buy them finished. I already know how they will look in the end anyway.

Cute plushies but I really wish they did all the main 6. I love Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie but Rarity and Twilight I wanted more. Oh, well will have to see them in person but most likely at least one will be coming home with me as they are both hard to resist. Now I wonder when they will be out in stores?

I would totally buy that yellow jazz dress that Rarity made for Twilight when she was hoofin it up! Or a gown for Rarity :shocked: Hat for AJ?!

I usually hate build -a - bear plushies, but these are super cute!!!
I wish they had more variety, I would die for a Fluttershy!! Could you imagine if it had a sound button in her that said '...yay...!' that would be adorable.

That's just it, how can you customize them if the accessories are made for teddy bears that stand on two legs? I'm thinking most of the clothing they have will not fit the pony's shape. Unless they made a whole line of accessories just for them? : / I just don't think the process of stuffing them is that creative when they always end up looking the same way.

Icicle: I guess if there are accessories available to customize them, that wouldn't be so bad. It's been awhile since I have been a build-a-bear store, so I have no idea what variety they have for four legged animals. Clothing would be neat for the characters, though I still wish I could actually customize the body of the pony, instead of just put clothing on it. Also, I'm sure kids will get a kick out of dressing up their favorite character. This is just wishful thinking on my part.

Just saw a commercial for Build-a-Bear and it looks like for this month they have new Valentine plushies so maybe these guys will come out in March or later in the year.

Those are so much cuter than the previous plushes. I just wish it wasn't Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash. They are my least favorite characters but the most often used. I'd be happy with anyone of the other four.

Looking on their site you can find a lot of stuff they offer, obviously you might find stuff in store that isn't online anymore and vice versa.

Icicle: I did just go and look on the build-a-bear website and if people didn't tell on here that the clothing was interchangeable, I'd think it was all for teddy bears, LOL Though yeah, I did look for some stripped socks and hoodies. I think they have a sequined hoodie and a few others? Not really my style xp Doesn't really matter to me, it's cheaper to buy them without accessories anyway. I know I'll get at least one, as they look so much better to me than funrise stuff.

I'm not sure how to feel. On the one hand, those are ADORABLE plushies! But...these are the same ponies that get released over. And over. And over. Guess Rarity's getting the shaft. Again :(
Still, though...I want that Pinkie Pie, and I like the wings on that Rainbow Dash more than the Funrise wings.

There's always the chance that only these two are in the system at this time and all six (seven if the Celestia in survey is done as well) are released at the same time. They have done releases with that many bears before so never lose hope!

There are Build-a-Bears here! I just don't know if they get the same lines as the US & are the same. There aren't any in South Australia though (there is a website - for all I know it's out of date & they've all closed down heh)

Ohhhhh i really want pinkie Pie~! Despite what it seems most of you guys think i'm in great favor of the nylon hair, for me any form of mlp toy equals nylon hair that i can spend hours and hours brushing or playing through my fingers, it has been like That since the 80's,lol..i know they look less like their animated selves like that but they look more like Mlp dolls this way so...i'm really excited about this form

I'd guess either from $25 to $30, if they price it like they do for some of their other special / limited edition plushies (Alvin and the Chipmunks, Hello Kitty, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, ect.)

Oh! My favorite stuffed animal ever as a kid was a Build A Bear, got her at age 3 and I still have her, it's a tabby cat named Kitty. She's a raggity ball of... Rags now. xDD SO dirty.
I haven't been to Build A Bear since I was what, 7? And I'm 15 now. I love how they have brushable hair, and they don't look scary like the other G4 plush... I really want Rainbow Dash now. 8O

I'm so disappointed that people (mainly bronies) are complaining about the manes not being show accurate. Someone's already complained on their facebook page and I foresee many more in the future. I think it's sad that the first thing out of their mouths is how inaccurate they are rather then being excited about seeing more pony plushes. While I'm not a fan of the hair, I'm not going to get all up in arms about 'em. Hey, I may like 'em if I see 'em in person, but I would only get one if they were to make a Rarity and/or Fluttershy as I don't like Dash or Pinkie Pie.

Oh wow, these are cute! Rainbow Dash's hair is actually rainbow colored! I definitely want to get both, if nothing more than to show BaB support in hopes they will bring out the rest.
Feh on the whole screen accurate whine (*throws cheese at whiners*), there are plenty of screen accurate plushes out there already. These plushes weren't made to satisfy pedantic adults, they were made to appeal to children who like tactile things they can hug, brush, and dress up. It's just a bonus that plenty of collectors will want them too. :)
*sigh* I just wish the Build-a-Bear here was closer, and I didn't have to pay for parking. Hmm, maybe I can convince my mom she needs more clothes for her bear... ;)

Oh wow! And these are coming out in the spring? I would love to make a Dashie! Plus, you can probably make them more huggable with less stuffing. It would be fun to dress them up too. The brushables should have more options for outfits and such, like Barbies.

I honestly know nothing about BaB's, having picked up the ones I have second-hand, but from what I've seen of clothes, they're all pretty universal as far as size goes.

Oh my gosh those are the best plushies I've seen, because like many I dislike the funrise one's with the straw mop hair. I also hope for more releases, if it's just between these 2 I'd get Rainbow Dash because I love her colors and I love the nylon hair. I would like Rarity, Twilight, Celestia and even Luna. Even better would be Queen Chrylasis but that's asking way too much.
I've never had a reason to go to Build a Bear, till now. =p

I can't wait, especially for the mane 6! Honestly I think this is the closest we're going to get to official plushies that don't look terrifying, so I'm not complaining. I'm going to contradict my previous statement and say that I don't really get the nylon hair-they could have made the hair stuffed and get it to look EXACTLY canon. Oh well.

Stuffed hair would probably make it a lot harder to fit the plushies into hats, especially Pinkie Pie. I'm glad they went with nylon hair, personally.

These look adorable! I like the hair, personally! It's "My Little Pony" so it needs to have brushable hair. The fact that these do makes my day! I hate the noodle hair on the Funrise plushes (didn't stop me from picking them up, though I had to debate it a bit).
As for the character selection, I would be surprised if they stopped at just Pinkie and Rainbow Dash. Still, two of my three favorite characters on the show (Rarity being the other) so I'm not going to complain about character choice. Still, I want a whole set of six. And if they make the princesses and the Cutie Mark Crusaders, that would be a bonus.
Now my embarrassing questions. I've never actually been in a Build-a-Bear before. How does it work? I'm seeing mention of accessories and also stuffing your own plush so I take it the point is to start with the raw materials and build it yourself?

I'm disappointed to see that the location I knew about is closed but it appears that there's another one closer to me. Unfortunately, it's also a much busier mall.

Edit: I'm really hoping they come out with a Wonderbolts uniform to put RD in, although that may be asking for a little much. I'm surprised they didn't make a Rarity right off the bat. Just think of how many clothes and accessories they could have sold with her. ^.^

I for one have never liked stuffed hair on any plushies. It just looks unnatural and is the reason Disney's Princess plushies never appealed to me. That said I personally would prefer yarn hair better than both the Funrise fabric strips and the BAB nylon but nobody has gone the yarn route yet.

I think they were their safest choice in terms of the general audience that shops at Build a Bear. I believe Pinkie Pie and RD are the most popular among the little kids that watch the show. Any merchandise that Hasbro comes out with always revolves around those two. I'm hoping once the RD and Pinkie plushies take off at BaB, they decide to make the rest of the Mane 6 (at least Rarity and AJ I hope!)

This might actually be a test run by Build a Bear to see how well MLP toys do. If these two sell well, I would not be surprised to see them release more pony plushies in the future. Just look at the Hello Kitty line of merchandise that Build a Bear sells...it started off with just a couple Hello Kitty characters and now it seems like they release a new version of Hello Kitty plush every season.

They are ok. I do like that they have real hair. But, I still don't think that'll be enough to get me into a store. Although I do have a BaB about 15 minutes from me, so I suppose I can always help people out if they need it when they come out.

I do love the faces on these ponies and the brushable hair is great. The bodies look a little too squat, but I will be getting pinkie for my daughter and hopefully they'll release aj and fluttershy(they better)!

Very cute!! I love the fact that they used nylon hair. But I feel like there's too little of it! It would be cool if there were more hair.
I would love it if they made an AJ or Rarity, but I think I may go and get Rainbow Dash anyway. :) My last and only trip to Build a Bear was pretty interesting, but I got a very nice bunny out of it.

Hee hee when my friend told me (she used to work at Build-a-Bear) I wanted to share because I was so excited but figured it wasn't my place to spill the beans. I'm glad it's been released now! I greatly (for once) look forward to april fool's day now!

I will be getting at least one for Easter even though Easter is the day before. I will just be get her a day late. Still unsure which to get right now. May have to wait till I see them in person to choose. It will be a great Easter and April 1st.

Omg PP and RD are SOOO cute!! ^_^ I'm loving these! When I worked at the mall I loved walking by the BaB store and looking in the window--now I finally have an excuse to go in and buy something!
Also I'm excited that that picture says "Plus find outfits made especially for My Little Pony"!! I wonder what those will be! Hopefully they'll have some neat accessories too!

I have an "in" at Build A Bear and I've been told that they want to release more characters, but every store needs to sell out of the initial offerings before they'll develop more.
Basically, if the plushies sell, they'll make more characters.

I'm glad the Build A Bear ponies don't interest me much. If they had Fluttershy, I'd have to get her, but luckily I can pass. I only own one Build A Bear and that's Hello Kitty. While I adore her, I spent way more to get her than I would have liked.
