Don't even ask, I just decided to check how much argies does Argentinas Mercadolibre actualy have. Among odd fat Snuzzles I saw this:

Has this once been all purple or do we have a new (or atleast unlisted on Mylittlewiki) argentinian variant? Listing had pictures of hooves and one had Hasbro 82 and maybe something covered by lighting, others were empty.
For curious argentinian collectors this was 530 pesos and I found it with Mi Pequeno Pony 82 or something like that.

While I'm no expert on Nirvana releases, that pony looks heavily discoloured to me. She resembles some of my early dye attempts where I dunked the whole pony, hair and all. Base of the tail and mane roots look to be closer to a more normal purple?
-
her hair does look like it has been dyed... or severely discoloured.
-
Her hair looks like its been replaced. :/ Maybe to match her discoloration?

The tail and mane roots are what makes me suspicious as well. Though even the hooves and inner legs are brown, something much less common on discolored ponies.

Probably dye. The tail root seems purpleish. It's so hard to say anything with anything when there's so many variants and also no limits to what children can do to their toys.

I highly doubt rerooting. The seller can't even name this pony, so how could they know about rerooting. Dye if something.

It could be discolouration from something airborne. That would pretty evenly affect all the areas except the roots / base of the tail. Or maybe she was buried in a sandbox / dirt for a long time?
I used to bury my Playmobil in the sandbox so I could 'discover' them - there's probably a few still out there...

Maybe? And I have seen ponies covered with dirt (or atleast one) and it's not this extreme at all. Wouldn't dirt anyways be more on the surface?
But anyways this could be discoloration yes. How, that's a question.

Something isn't right, but I'm not sure what
The eyes and symbols look the right colour, but the body and hair are all wrong? It could be discolouration, but the light looks funny in the photos too.

No matter what it is, this pony has some crazy story behind it. The tail root seemed quite purple on other pictures, so I assume the hair atleast has been dyed. Nirvanas are more prone to factory errors too, so it's very hard to say. Also perfect discoloration is very rare, so who indeed knows.

I have one and was told it was dyed... hold on

Sure! Interesting to see. Though would kids know how to dye ponies? Because this seller couldn't even name the pony.
-
Well, there are plenty of things that can stain without being specifically dye. Maybe Bluebelle took a 'bath' in mom or dad's coffee? Kids can be very ... creative.
-
I really don't know if she was dyed or faded or not. But I can tell you that I personally really like how she ended up and would be happy to add her to my collection. She's a beautiful colour now no matter how it happened in my opinion.

True, true. Coffee makes sense? Though it should be quite a long bath to get this even. But who knows, as you said kids can be creative. Creative enough to somehow break or lose 4/5th of Paradise Estates houses for example and to get house paint on a toy.

She is really an interesting color combination! There's so few brown ponies that she stands out in a nice way.

thanks for patience ... anyhow I would agree that maybe it was a coffee or similar dye I think we can use kool-aid to repink the fading pink type hair

Thank you so much! This is getting interesting. :o two Blue Belles in almost exactly the same body shade. Yours is clearly faded in atleast some aspects judging from the blue stars. Also interesting enough this ones hooves seem quite brown:

If there's multiples like this, could be a batch of plastic that's aging badly. If the degradation is light or oxygen driven, a pony that was standing on her hooves most of the time would have paler feet while one that wasn't would be a more even colour all over. It's strange that it would affect the hair too, though. Most interesting!
-
Thats just bad aging, ive fixed argie bluebelles in that condition a million times with hydrogen peroxide and sun and they turn to their normal blue color. Same with the hair its just aged. Argies are known for turning brown, I have a lickety split thats completely brown with yellow hair and it is just aged. Also if you open the pony up most probably it will be light blue on the inside.

Makes sense, yeah. The hair could be dyed though, the example I found had much more brown hair than the one Maycrestmom has.

Well that's new information. Nirvanas are all so unique, there's so much to learn of each countrys variants. I know piggie Blue Belles often fade from blue to grey, that italian pink ponies turn to white easily and mexican pink ponies apparently can get extreme yellowing, but this was new. Thank you for the information! Though I disagree on the last sentence, with discoloration extreme enough to affect inner legs and hooves, the insides probably are a mix of brown and blue.

That is so helpful thank you for posting.
I now wonder if Argie tan Lofty is really tan or discoloured?

Same as for cp lickety and cp shady, lofty also has a similar color base, with the difference that lickety and shady both have fading pink hair which turns yellow, so those 3 all can turn to brown, here is a pic of my argie cps licketys with "brown lickety", this is the same pony thats listed on the wiki, Im the one who provided the pic.
Also for the record even though lickety is extremely brown, it still retains its original color on the inside, not the hair though, hair is yellow all over with no signs of pink.

wow did not know this thanks for the insight on this.
