Please leave a message on the board (where I can find it, at the end!) or PM Aurora by Midnight on Wednesday, November 15th if you would like to be part of the annual Christmas Rush Swap. I will try to get partners out within two days of that.
Post your wishlists here. This is a $15 swap. When making the wishlist, remember that there is not a lot of time for shopping, so don't make it too hard!
Also, some of you have buddies coming along that are not as crazy about ponies as perfect people like us are. If they would like to join the swap, go for it! They will also need to provide a wishlist, and please be specific - don't just say "Manga." Even I know there is a lot of manga out there!

I've always wanted to host one of these things, but I know my neck of the woods is quite a drive South. But then again when *I* attend others' parties, it's always quite a drive North lol.
Maybe this'll have to be my (lateish) birthday present. Who knows.

If people are willing to come here, we will figure it out. There are more people in the big city, so it makes sense to go up there. I will be hosting in May again, so one meet a year is down here. I mostly just don't know anywhere good to rent up there!

But I do miss my pony friends! As it stands, I will be in Minnesota in December! I've brought back several UK and Euro exclusive ponies, and chocolate for the winter meet! Expect to see them either for sale or for raffle! :biggrin:

I spoke to my signifant other, and I think this is the first meet I will be able to attend! I've been wanting to attend one for years, and now I'm living in MN again. What should people bring?

"Had a blast," huh? He was a trooper, and it was a weird kind of fun, but I am happy to tie you down and keep you here!
Jocelyn, welcome aboard! This meet will not have a meal, so you can bring some snacks or drinks, but you don't have to. As far as ponies go, everyone who wants one typically has a card table (bring one if you can) with their sale ponies, and we shop and trade- bring cash! Mark your ponies if you can, it is just simpler that way.
There are other events, too, like a possible cookie exchange and a dice game that we usually play. You'll want to bring 3 or 4 little gifts, wrapped, for that game. When I am on a real computer, I can paste the rules of the game, but it boils down to "roll dice, steal presents."
If you can't bring anything, come anyway. The food is free, the friends are free, and you can touch all sorts of fun ponies... free!
Be careful, though- these things are addicting.

I'm getting some prizes together. While I am out shopping, does anyone want me to pick up a popcorn bucket/drink cup for them? No figures, but cute buckets and cups! $7.50, but I am totally eating the popcorn. Consider it a delivery fee!

As I have mentioned in the past I would really really like to host one of the meets, but I fail at handling moves... I am still trying to undo boxes from last July move into the new house... My collection resides in 3 different rooms cos I haven't even decided where exactly is going to be... But that being said, I WILL host a meet before 2018 ends (I am also starting college again in January... is going to be a challenge...).
I have a car now and I can drive, where ever you host I will follow!
I miss you all you know..

I am selling most of my collection keeping sea ponies and some others. so if you ever wanted anything hard to get now is the time. I already sold a bunch but always sell to friends first and I have not had much time to list stuff. I am in the process of selling a few Africans now. I can always can take payments as well over time for any of my stuff. Powder is the host party funny. I have the ooak African one.

Ponyqueen- I am always up for chocolate fountains! If you want to do a cookie exchange, you have to spearhead it, though. I have my husband hunting for good recipes, but I clearly can't be in charge of it. I think the problem is that in theory, the cookies get used at parties. Our reality is more like binge-watching Supernatural and then magically no more cookies.

yes I have the full set of taf mip ponies, all the pearl ones mip, lots of others mip nirvana etc. full closet full and lots of moc mib ponies, I have munchy moc and crumpet etc
mn gusty sorry I sold my loose one a long time ago and just recently sold my MOC one. but I am sure I have others that u might want. I can take many payments over time as well.

Thank you for the pm, Aurora! I’ve got it marked on my calendar, and will make sure to request that day off tomorrow. :) That’s barely a week after the end of classes though, so I doubt I’ll be able to make new items. Ah well. Always the summer meet! :lol:
Edit: I’ve been thinking of maybe starting a MN MLP group on Facebook. Any thoughts on it? We’d get notifications for when someone posts, and wouldn’t necessarily need to remember to check the posts here, though this could still be a main hub.
Also, Blackfrost’s mom is having knee surgery the 29th, and might be in a wheelchair as a result; I’m hoping this wouldn’t be a problem, but figured I’d better ask. PQ, can your Home accommodate someone in a wheelchair?

Wishlist: Since my G3 collection is near complete, I cannot be sure who is and is not in my possession. For this reason I strongly prefer I receive only G1 or G2 ponies. I do also like G4 but as I have little space for more ponies I am not actively searching for them. Other things I collect include Pokémon merch (esp. 90’s-era) and Neopets toys. A few of my favorite ‘mons include Vulpix/Ninetales, the Eevee family (note that I already own those plush ones that sit down), Rhydon, Nidoqueen/king, the Dratini line, Salamence, Absol, Garchomp, the three Johto legendary trio, Raichu, Bulbasaur’s line, the list goes on lol. My favorite Neopets are Aishas, Eyries, Gelerts, Kougras and Grarrls.
Related to a couple other special interests of mine: My favorite Steven Universe characters are Rose Quartz, Jasper and Pearl; my favorite Overwatch characters are Widowmaker, Symmetra, Ana, Sombra and Mercy.
I’m honestly not a huge candy person but I love trying different foreign sweets, especially those from East Asia. I don’t do sour or spicy things. I really like Meiji’s strawberry chocorooms and lychee or melon flavors!
Allergies include spaghetti/pizza sauce and anything with heavy lactose, those many heavily processed dairy foods are fine fsr.

I’ve had quite the week so my brain is fried. Money is so tight right now :( I want to be in the secret santa swap but not sure what I can do as far as a pony wishlist goes.
Is there any possible way we can do a general secret santa swap and post our likes and dislikes? I know there are quite a few retro mlp items out there in stores and online via Etsy ect.

I would like to be in the swap - just trying to figure out what to put down on my wish list, as the ponies that I don't have are probably out of the price range, so it's probably going to consist of accessories. Though now that I think about it, I don't have a lot of the baby sea ponies... Hmmmm!

-Are we allowed to bring any treats for sharing if we want to? I know the cookie swap idea seems to have fallen through, but a lot of people were confused when I mentioned chocolate beaver dams, so... :)
-Are we doing holiday cards for every this year? I never got to use mine last year, as I ran out of time for them due to editing the picture I was going to use taking so long (and class work, but semantics), so would like to be able to use cards this year. Or is that going to be optional? :)

Hope to post my wish list this evening. I spent yesterday taking apart my old pony cabinet (I decided it's too deep and am remaking it 6" instead of 12" - you couldn't really see the ponies in the back anyway), and wound up out for 3 hours to help the SIL find gifts for our moms, then out for dinner (which I finished for lunch just now. ;) ) Technically didn't finish taking it apart; the faux grass (which I do *not* recommend for a pony display cabinet, as pony hair gets caught in it) still needs to come off the boards, but I was bushed before I could finish. : P My accessories list is the most up-to-date list I have, though, so I'll probably focus on those and baby sea ponies. ^.^

For my mom she likes AppleJack always has from g1 to now. She also likes nightmare before christmas, cats and horses, along with owls! She doesn't mean pusheen either. Grumpy Cat works to she kinda grumpy I'm going to get smacked for that lols... she can have candy!

Kazz, I was just thinking about this today. Even if we can't get to it at the Winter Meet, i plan to block one to two hours for it at the spring meet at my house. I would like people to bring things they want to customize, so like a "customize together"!
I feel like there will already be a lot jammed into this short little meet, but maybe ponyqueen has some thoughts!

Hullo all! Finally got on the arena, just in time for wishlist posting.
I really like G4, but don't really collect the ponies. I like other types of merch, shirts, socks, hats, etc. My favorite ponies are Vinyl Scratch, Octavia, and Fluttershy. And Discord. Also a huge fan of the Equestria Girls and the most recent pony movie.
Uuuum non-pony related stuff. I both love and am severely lacking fuzzy socks in my life. I love love love foxes (there was one in my yard the other day *squee*), cats, and huskies. I like chocolate, especially white chocolate, but nothing with peanuts.

I honestly have no idea what I need still for ponies and accessories. I’ll just post a general wishlist :
Love g1 retro and Japanese merch, foxes, elephants, cats, unicorns, hamsters, pusheen, horses, mice, chihuahuas, socks, stickers, ornaments, orbit sweet mint gum ( if it has animals I’ll most likely like it lol but I listed my favs)

Whelp, sorry partner mine, but I found an inexpensive copy of the Pauline Warg book I listed and bought it while I could, though that leaves plenty of a selection. And while browsing bead books from the one vendor I've found the Beads and Buckskin series, so if you find any of those... :whistle:
Meanwhile, I'm pretty sure I know what I'm going to be getting my partner, so that's good! :D Should be all set by the time of the meet! ^.^

Okay, I think I'm getting pretty well organized! I have gifts/prizes set aside for:
#1 Featured Raffle Items (Pony art and Pony)
#2 general raffle prizes
#3 Gift Grab Dice Game gifts
#4 Prize for coloring contest winner
They are all spread out in my guest room and office so I can see everything!
Also so excited to find some fun recipes for yummy treats to enjoy at the party, in addition to the Chocolate Fondue Fountain! :cookie:

Let's see... The main gift is on its way, I have the treat found (hopefully my partner likes it!), and I *think* I have something in mind for a second gift, just not sure about acting on it. We shall see what transpires for that! (Alas, the shirt that I thought would be perfect was only available in a size small, and would have put me out of the intended price range once we include shipping, so something else has to be thought of.)
Also, pretty good idea what I'm going to make for the dice game gifts! I have something ebil planned for something I'd like to make, and the dice game sounds like a great time to unleash it! :lol: Shouldn't take a long time to make, either, so there's that. :)

Meanwhile, trying Fragrant Jewels for the first time; I've come the the conclusion, from their "Relax" cucumber and lavender candle, that I'm slightly allergic to lavender. That or the cucumber cuts it enough that I'm not reacting as badly as I could? Ah well; at least I get a ring out of trying the candle. :)

*pushes you down and steps out of your arm ring ala bugs bunny* When you buy a bath bomb or candle from fragrant jewels, they include a costume jewelry ring inside it. Melt the candle or use the bath bomb, get a ring. And since they had golden topaz (colors, anyway; I assume it’s CZ) for us November babies, I decided to try it. I have received one order... out of three. :blush: Yes, I’m bad. Don’t hate me! ;P

Ohh, I haven't tried Wish yet. I did start an account on dresslily, though I can be annoyed that they occassionally list a 2XL dress as US size 10. :cry:
I am also interested in knowing if we should bring contributions for the prize table, even if they're not pony related? I have some ideas for things to bring. Also, if so, should they be wrapped? Mystery prizes! :D (Okay, maybe not that last one...)
Edit to Add: One of the items I ordered is apparently coming from Russia! Didn't notice that when I bought it, so I hope it comes in time! At least it was the first thing I bought, not the last - that's already here! :lol:

My "wish" items just got here, and they are adorable! But it was an assortment, and I got all 3 Applejack. Grrrr. It's cute, though, and I will bring at least one to the meet!

With such a small contest schedule, we don't really need extra prizes. Instead, it would be cool if we did a card exchange. Thoughts?
If anyone has a great item to contribute, you might consider donating it to the general raffle table, which will help cover party costs. I already have a few items, but sounds like this was a hit at the last meet, so, we welcome contributions! ^.^

I think I now consider the prize table and raffle table the same thing. I have a little more work to do on an item for whatever the table is called, but it should be ready in time. I think she's pretty awesome!
I also have my part of the "cards" mostly done, it is up to Foxfire now! There is a list of people coming on the first page of the thread, the "maybes" are probably "no's," if they really want to be included on the card swap, they can upgrade their status pretty easily! I would say to make cards for the "yes's" and not fret beyond that.
I bought candy tonight, wrapped my gift, and am now done with my swap present! I hope my partner likes it!
Foxfire and I are trying out a new recipe, or at least an altered one, hopefully we will be bringing it to the party. We will bring something, at least!

My oven broke today, so I am not able to make the chex mix I had bought all the ingredients for :( I will do my best to pick something up tomorrow, but now my morning is going to be consisting of shopping for a new range... I didn't have time to make any cards to hand out either, I'm mostly just coming to spend some holiday cheer time with my fellow pony friends. I'll bring a box of sales ponies with too, but haven't really put much thought in to it.

Dice game items are finished and wrapped. Secret Santa present packaged up and wrapped. Cards are... in my file cabinet? I think? (I hope!) Cookies are.... not even started. I suppose I can bring the ingredients with? Probably be simpler if I just brought some chocolate with me. ^^; I'll save the beaver dams for the May swap, I think; then I'll have time for a bigger batch (the recipe only makes 18 by itself). Sorry Aurora! :(
Meanwhile, I've been up since 3am (had to be to work by five, but the cats woke me early), and have the chills. I'm heading for shower and sleep. See everyone tomorrow afternoon! :D

I've got little gift bags for everyone to collect cards for the exchange, but they could hold a little piece of candy or whathaveyou equally well! ;) They are snow-white, and I will have colors & stickers & glitters for an impromptu decorate-your-own-bag activity if anyone pleases. :biggrin:
We're pretty good on chocolate with the fondue, but could use a couple more bananas & other good dippable treats if anyone doesn't have time/interest/ovens to prepare something else for the part-tay. ^.^

Foxfire, I'm glad you liked the present I gave you! I forgot to mention, but that pendant's chain is sterling silver--the advantage of being able to buy in bulk! ;) Try not to eat all of the chocolate orange in one sitting - I know that can be difficult to not do (at least, it is for me!). :lol:
MNGusty, it was great seeing you and the girls again! Are they always so well behaved? I don't recall them ever getting in trouble at our meets! :O Hopefully we'll see you all again at the next meet as well! :D

Hopefully Peggy will be feeling better in time for the next meet--she's spending the night in the hospital. :( Turns out her meds are off, and they may have finally pinpointed which medication is causing the problem. :huh: Any well wishes would be appreciated! :D
Blackfrost had a great time - she's taking care of her mom at the moment (of course) but mentioned on the car ride home that she had a blast, and we all look forward to the next meet!

Thank you all for the fun time I'm really sorry if my mom seemed so off.. as Kazzy stated I actually took her to the hospital she spend yesterday in the ER and moved to a room last night. She still there today due to lutetium toxicity, and frankly I'm glad I play the worrywart card cause mom could of had organ failure and died if we didn't get this found out in time. Her level went from 1.8 which is way over the normal mark and why she was kept over night and today. She more alert alittle grumpy for being there but very tired and sleeping alot.. she basically been poisoned and poison control actually been calling and checking on her every few hours. She had fun honestly she did.. its just her meds and such where messing with her.. :( I'm sorry for her outburst to I hope folks can understand..

Blackfrost, you handled it so well! It is overwhelming to have that many people around even when you are feeling good- I don't know if most people even noticed, to be honest! It was a pretty heated game! Kudos to you, and I am glad you caught it before anything worse happened. Give her a hug for me when she is ready!

I didn't know they could, but yes! The fountain exploded about ten seconds before everyone walked in the door. A bunch of us arrived at the same time, and it took us a little while to see the edible walls! Kudos to Moondancermilkyway, especially- she kept the dogs from eating it and washed the floor!
