It's late at night, I'm feeling random, and a box of sales ponies is staring at me. So a question for you all: do you have a bunch of ponies for sale that you never have time to actually clean, list, etc.? I've been putting off selling these guys for so long. I really ought to buckle down and do it. Any other procrastinators out there?
:yikes: :lol: ^^;
-
Not me, I don't sell ponies :)
-
On my sales page on this forum that I rehaired but they aren't budging.
-
Yes. Mine are all clean and photographed and were even listed but because of university I can only sell when home. Which means ponies move in slow batches. I have about 70 in a plastic tub waiting for forever homes but most of the time I am 3 hours away from them.m.
-
Sort of. I haven't sold ponies before, but I'm going to. Maybe tomorrow... next month... year :P
-
I have 5 shopping bags full of them, only about half are clean. I have so many because they come along in bags at the thrift store or lots I buy. But I would rather not deal with it. I suppose once I force myself to stop pretending I don't have time I'll just sell them cheap so hopefully they go quickly.
-
I have boxes and bags full of ponies to sell and most of them haven't been cleaned yet. I do have stuff listed on my sales website but that's only a fraction of all my extra stuff. I haven't had time to deal with it for years. But if things keep going like they are right now I should be getting to it later this year :)
-
Yeah. I’m still sorting through the G1 ponies, slowly but surely. There are some I *know* I don’t have though, so those are the ones I try hunting for. Others, I might have the pony but not the accessories, so I’ll have a duplicate of the pony in order to get the accessories, and the cycle continues. I mainly don’t have the landing space to clean ponies, right now. :( Its like cleaning (and repairing!) this house is a lost battle before it starts, sometimes.
-
I try to not acquire too many doubles/extras/etc. but I have a handful. My plan is to bring them to the Fair for trades ^_^
-
Yes! I acquire quite a few extras to sell. Some I clean up as soon as they are in my hands. Others sit in bags for a while before I get to them. But I enjoy cleaning them and re-homing them so it doesn't bother me.
-
I don't get extras to sell! If I get any G3s or G4s I don't want, I just donate them. But G1s and G2s are so little in my area, I don't have a single double to sell.
-
I have soooo many. I need to sort through them all and decide what I want to keep and what I want to sell but work and sometimes I have classes and the critters and the kid and so much going on lol!
And today I am home sick on the couch so I could take the climb up the stairs and grab a box and start cleaning but it seems soooooo far away lol!
So yes I have the intent to sell but will it ever really happen? Who knows.
-
I do! I have boxes of them, but i also have extra space to stash them, so i am not drowning. I am trying to sell them, though, in my sales post here, a little on ebay, and some on facebook.
Theoretically, at least! In real life, I had an ambitious week then stopped. But the sale ponies are all brushed, bagged, and priced, so I can pick a box at random and bring it out to list it.
Will trade ponies for gumption!
-
Kinda? I don't have an eBay account yet, though my dad said in the next few months he'll help me set one up (I think because he gets annoyed whenever I ask him to buy something for me online since I can't do it myself yet :P). I have a bag of dupe ponies that I've gotten while thrifting, and whenever I do end up getting an eBay account I'll try to see if I can sell them, but most of them are pretty uninteresting dupes...
-
I try to sell off any extras as soon as I get them. I have way to much stuff laying around lol.
-
yes and no. I trade them. I do have extra ponies for trading purposes. I have not been able to trade maybe in spring.
-
I've had some for a few years now that I'm finally getting around to cleaning up and selling. Already re-homed a few and it feels great finally getting them out of here! It opens up space for me. I don't have a ton, only the ocassional duplicate that came in a lot or whatever, but I'm at a point where ANY extra space is needed!
-
As the amount of ponies I have grows bigger I end up with some extras from eBay lots and thrifting. I started a sales box, but I had so much trouble finding good prices for Equestria girls dolls that I never ended up posting the thread..
-
Yes I would like to sell mine but there aren't many local collectors...
-
Yup they have sat around for ages, mow I am working through in batches. Just done the twinkle eyes only kept the ones I really liked though it was hard to let the others go. Next lot this week end  not enjoying the cull but it needs to happen. Though special ones are not going any where
-
Yep! I don't seem to have the interest in cleaning them anymore so I have been listing them in lots for others to do TLC with them! Have many more to go!
-
So many ponies, so little motivation.
-

I would buy stuff from Canada, its still relatively cheap to send mail between UK and Canada compared to UK and USA. That's how I got quite a few USA releases.
-
I have somewhere around 400 G3s that I've decided I don't want anymore. I had originally planned to do a bunch of customs, which is why I picked up any that I found at the thrift store, but I don't have time to do that many. So I'm trying to get them to a point where I can list them and get them to new homes.
-
I have a tub of ponies to clean up and photograph. My collection has been in storage for 15 years and I've only been able to unpack them since last summer when we finished the basement. It's slow going getting my room set up and unpacked but I have a lot of ponies to go through and figure out which out of my doubles I'm keeping. Then the few that I have listed don't move so it's not very motivating to work on them.
Yes I would like to sell mine but there aren't many local collectors...
Where do you have them listed? I'm local to you but haven't seen ponies on kijiji in a while.
-
I'm neck deep in extras. The last few years have been very good for thrifting. But I generally only sell them in person at conventions, so they move out slowly. Also, my partner in toy collecting and I go to a lot of toy sales (not mlp specific, mostly action figures) and because we're often the only table with 'girl toys' we sell well but I often also have other dealers asking if I want to buy out the small groups of ponies they have. Sometimes we come home with more than we sold! XD

Don't call me out like this :P
Yeah, I have a few extras that I've gotten in lots and such. It's just getting round to selling them that's the problem.. x__x; Never enough time in the day.
-
I have a whole box right now, that life keeps me from getting to.
-
I have a Lightning that I should rehome....
Love pkw xxx
-
I have 10+ years worth of the things currently exploding all over my house. It’s a pastel colored nightmare in here!
-
I don't have much left to sell. I have them all nice and neat sitting on a shelf.
-
Yes. I have a bunch that I need to photograph (and make a list of who all is there), and then actually price and list. I just haven't found the motivation to do it.
-
I’m a newbie collector so I’ve only accumulated a handful of duplicates or ponies I’d like to sell.
That being said...is it wrong that all I could think about when reading everyone’s comments, is how much I’d love to dig through your pony boxes?! lol
-
This thread makes me wonder how many ponies are actually sitting in boxes in our homes rather than being on the market...and whether that is affecting the price or availability of some ponies because we have too many doubles and not enough time to sell them O.o. You have to wonder...
-
Oh man, do I ever! I actually got a shock when I recently pulled out my sales/swap bags and went through them - I had completely lost track of what I had and in what condition, and I had way more than I remembered having. Goodness knows when I'll finally manage to get them cleaned up and listed, I'm so time-poor these days.
-
A lot of commons left to sell here, or to customize. But the customs market has been down for quite awhile... They all just sit in a brown paper bag in the closet. Probably 50 duplicates that could go.
-
I tried selling and then giving away all my extra ponies at the last pony meet- but still somehow have a couple of crates.
I should just sell them all in a huge lot...
-
I’m drowning in ponies for sale! One day I’ll get them homes...

Well, good news! I personally do not have a box of Rapunzels!!! I have reasonably common ponies, but this is a good point! Unfortunately, there isn't much to do about it. All of them will surface eventually...
-
I bought a 99% MLP lot on Ebay just for the fakie that was in it. I've got all the ponies cleaned up and ready to go, but...I'm soo lazy. You list them, then pack them up, and I don't live in a wonderful area so I don't like leaving packages out front. On top of that, where is the best place to list? Ebay, here, the trading post? I want them to go to their forever homes soon but I'm just getting in my own way

I wish I had a box of Rapunzels! That would nicely pay my rent for next year...
I think I do have a Hollywood. I don't suppose I'd get more than a tent with her though...

Hahaha! I have a partially deflocked Fifi with frizzy hair... that might get me a new windshield wiper....
-
I have about 4 ponies that I'm sure I wanna get rid of. u_u might up donating them because I'm not even sure it's worth the time to sell anymore.
-
I have a few boxes full of them (g2s)! Wish I could find the time to list all..
-
This is encouraging me to just list the ponies I have. I think I sometimes want it all to be perfect but I don't have time to do perfect listings, if that makes sense. I guess a lot of us are like this!
-
Mine are all commons so shouldn't affect scarcity at all.
I have a tub of ponies and never time to give them a spa day and then like Haruna said, I want my listings to be perfect. I tend to take a ton of photos and list every little flaw and I research what they've been selling for. Just no time for that. I am also working on cleaning up my collection that has been in storage for 15 plus years. So I did do inventory once upon a time but I might want to keep some of the doubles over my older ones if they're in better shape (not the childhood herd). So I have a lot of organizing to do.
-
I have so many that I need to sell... and very little time to devote to that chore. I haven't even sold any since like 2011 or 2012. The idea is to thin the herd and keep only my childhood ponies and a few favorites I've acquired over the years. To be honest, I'm just leary of selling on ebay since the last time I sold something, it didn't end well. (Not ponies, but the outcome still sucked.)
