Hi, I recently became aware this pony exists:

Does anyone have more info on her? I know she is cartoon only, I was wondering if anyone had any other pictures of her or knew her name or the special she appears in.
She is my favorite design in G3, so I am planning on making a custom of her (Could use tips for that too :) )

I love this pony too! I’ve seen her referred to as Splish Splash as far as a name, but idk where that came from. I personally don’t think it fits her.
I also made a custom of her from a fakie! :) I was sad as a kid the background Pegasi never got made into toys, this pony in particular really caught my eye, so she was the first I made! I want to try and make some of the others at some point too.

Your Custom of her is great!!! I haven't really done any Custom G3 Pegasi yet, but have done a Pegacorn & several Unicorns. G3 did fewer unicorns than they did pegasi, which is a shame
The names of the background Ponies on the Wiki aren't my favourite. I definitely changed two of them. One orange unicorn with bubbles on her rump I renamed Opaline, while the one with the bug symbol I called Jitterbug. Ice Scoop remains the same though.

This pony has very nice colors! Seems like she would've worked fine as a toy (but maybe she would've needed some pink on her to be Hasbro-approved :lol:).
The names given to the non-toy G3 ponies on the wiki are all fan names, right? None of them were given official names anywhere?

I wish they made those six pegasus. Would been all over Splish Splash, Bubble Balloon and Skip n Along.

I love that custom! :lovey: She's definitely a pegasus I remember a lot, and I tend to mash her together with Island Delight in my head.

A little OT, but is there a reason why you are making up and changing ponies' names on the Wiki?

There are some that are more common than others, but overall, not a large amount were made. I think the most common is Baby Honolu-loo, who is a baby so probably not fit for bringing her to life...and of course, Starsong from Core 7 era G3.

There are 23 pegasus made. Your best bet would likely be normal winged Star Catcher, Morning Monarch, Hidden Treasure or Coconut Grove. I tried to make one out of Hidden Treasure, unfortunately the neon yellow dye refused to take properly.

There were so many beautiful background pegs and unis in the G3 specials! Wish they came to life as toys. I remember when the specials came out, before the era of G4, we all thought the idea of pony characters that didn't have toy equivalents was a very strange concept! lol.
If you do make a custom of her, please post pics! She's lovely. Those wiki names are horrible lol. Shooting Star is a cute name!

Tbf there were a few G1 cartoon only ponies that never got toys either. Teddy, Ace, Lancer, Knight Shade and Miss Hackney come to mind.

There were not many, correct. And several of the ones that were made have 3D symbols which IMHO makes them harder to customize. Of all the flea market ponies and eBay lots I've gotten I have yet to get a regular G3 pegasus! But they ARE out there, you might just have to go out of your way to find one. Good luck and I hope to see what you make!
