Happy Monday! We're featuring the Slumber Party Gift Pack this week.
I'll be on vacation and won't be able to post each day. I thought it would be fun to feature a full set of ponies for everyone to vote on.

I love the "sets" (Birthday set / Slumber party set), they're such a fun way to give a kid a wide selection of ponies / gimmicks.

That said, I wish it had five DIFFERENT types of ponies instead of two newborn twins.  I get that Newborn Twins were one of the sets that year, but Big Brother ponies, Princess ponies, Pony Friends (the animal pals), and Sea Sparkle Baby Sea ponies (the ones with painted on necklaces) were also sets that year, and I'd rather have seen any two of those instead of the Newborn Twins.  Just for more variety.

I had Pink Dreams and Sleepy Head in among the ponies that were handed down to me as a kid, but my childhood herd is probably scattered to the four winds by now. I'd love to have both of them again, they were a couple of my favourites (well, close seconds to Posey!) :heart:

Love the slumber party theme! I've never owned any part of this set. The ponies themselves I find rather boring, with the exception of Pillow Talk. But I'm probably gonna have to get this set just for the cute accessories!

Funnily enough, I think the ponies in the birthday gift set have much nicer and more unique designs, but the theme and accessories doesn't invoke as much joy in me as this set does.

Agree! Especially since Flutter Ponies weren't new for this year, but it was probably a cost cutting measure. BBs are big, princesses had their medallions, pony friends were all unique molds etc. (and I guess Sea Ponies might've been hard to fit into the theme, you'd assume they go to sleep underwater)

It seems like the planned picnic gift set for year 6 was going to have a Big Brother pony. Really wish that had been produced.

I love this set! Its probably my favorite G-1 set.... if it only wasn't too expensive  :(

I have Pillow Talk, she's one of my favorite ponies, she's absolutely perfect. Very stunning girl. Don't have the rest yet but I want them!

I have all of the ponies but Pillow Talk (who I plan on getting in the future). :) They’re all so cute, and I love the soft colors. Also, Pink Dreams is a cat-themed pony, which is instant win in my book. XD

I like Pillow Talk and Pink Dreams the best out of this set. I have all the ponies; a couple of the babies are in rougher condition so it'd be nice to upgrade them one day.
I think the accessories to this set are very cute - I have most, I think. Still a few bits and pieces needed to complete it all, though  :rolleyes:

I have all this set except for Sleepy Head who I hope to get eventually. Pillow Talk is my fav from this set, I like her unique colours and symbol.

So I have this set but in the weirdest way possible.

This set was not sold in the UK. BUT.

I got Pink Dreams (with wings) and one of the twins at a market stall over here in weird packaging in the mid 1990s.

We found the other twin and Nightcap at carboot sales - since learned that Nightcap at least was sometimes sold with the Kitchen as a freebie as I have a mint in bag one that came out of a kitchen set I got at a carboot sale complete with box (in Spanish packaging).

At the point of obtaining the above ponies, we had NO idea who any of them were. So Pink Dreams got nicknamed 'Kitty'. Finding a flutter I never heard of at a market stall WITH WINGS was very...surreal?

...Pillow Talk came from a trade in Canada, with a pony collector who aptly called herself Pillow Talk xD. I've never seen her second hand here although the other four all show up sometimes.

All of those I obtained at the end of the 90s but until a couple of years ago I didn't have the accessories. Then I had the chance to buy the set with accessories and box in around 2015. So I did this, sold on the ponies, and now have the box and MOST of the pieces. I think it's missing the ribbons.

Because my Pink Dreams came with her wings, she's actually probably my only loose flutter whose wings are a: original to her and b: unbroken.


She did dive off the shelf once and fell 7ft but her wings didn't break so...that's good?

Here ends the story of my very strangely put together Slumber Party set.

My favorite part of this set are the accessories, especially the equine twister and the teen magazine (I wish I knew what it looked like on the inside)

I loooove Pillow Talk, she's been one of my grails for a while! Pink Dreams would also be a welcome addition. I have Sleepy Head, though, and a few accessories. I love this set's theme.

I never really thought about this set.  As a kid, I was more excited about the other ponies that came out that year.  But the newborns are cute and I like the idea of them wearing the hats and baby pants together.

I renamed my Pink Dreams to Catnap because Pink Dreams was also used for one of the Soft Sleepy Newborns.  :P
