It says it's the 4th but today is the 5th. In NZ it is anyhow. I can't fix it by adjusting the time because that would put me 28 hours ahead which is "out of range". And why does the time keep changing on me anyhow? I've had to adjust it several times because it keeps showing random incorrect times.

Its set to LA time. Put it to GMT + 12 and that's the correct time. :)
-
Where, exactly?
-
Where can I set it to GMT+12? May I have a link, please? All I can find is where to enter the time offset. It does not work there. Are you talking about this or something else? I would really like to have the correct date displayed.
-
Ditto!! Would love to have the correct date and time again :) I'm also on the 5th, but also an hour behind too!!
-
Bumping for an answer!
-
I'm still here!
-
Click "profile" at the top then you will see a menu called "modify profile" - select the "look & layout" option. In there you will find a time/date option. You can either let the Arena auto detect for you or off set the clock by 12 hours. Just type 12 in the box and apply.
-
that doesn't work for us down here :( the closest i can get is 3 hours behind by using +23. i'd need to be able to put in +26 to get the time and date correct :) no matter much to me, i don't really pay attention to the date, just the time  i keep it 24 hours behind cause then the time is right :D
-
Thanks for your reply, however, as I tried to explain in my earlier posts, this does not work. Allowing the Arena to auto detect the time puts me four hours ahead, which is the correct time, but a day earlier. Manually entering the correct time (which is 28 hours ahead) yields an error, as 28 hours is "out of range".
-
Ahhh...I get you now :)
You need an extra 2 hours to get to your actual time? It will be saying not allowed as you should never need to be 28 hours ahead; because the clock has a +/- hour option and you can swing 24 hours in either direction you should never need to be more than +13 hours or -13 hours...yes?
It sounds like the Arena time is set wrong. As I am posting this the Arena is claiming its source time is "09 December 2013, 07:11:13" but right now at 22:13 GMT on 9th December no where in the world is 15 hours behind.
-
Ahh OK, thanks. :) My next question is... will this be fixed so Australian and New Zealand members can have the correct time displayed?
-
Oooooh....for that we need the mighty and powerful Kiwi and Stomper. I am sure they will pop by :)
-
I'll go look at the clock.
EDIT: As far as I can tell, the server's time is set to Los Angeles time. (Seriously, spell check? You think Los Angeles is a typo?)
I don't know what can be done with maybe the exception of setting its time to Zulu and seeing if that helps. Of course, everyone would have to reset their clocks again. ^^;
-
*does clock dance*
-
Try using the offset time thingy now, please, FoalPatrol. I really hope it works! *gets ready for fakies in case it doesn't, lol*
-
It's currently 9:10 am EST, but my clock was set to 5:10 pm. The time used to be correct. I tried to fix it, but it's stuck at 7:10 am (two hours behind), no matter what I do. How can I get the correct time back?
By the way, this is the greeting message at the top: "Maybe reset your clock if it's not morning, tapdancer"
-
Yes, I changed all the greetings so everyone would know their clocks have been changed. I'm hoping foalpatrol will come back and let me know her problem is fixed.
no matter what I do. How can I get the correct time back?
:freak: I don't know. I've always used the offset autodetect without problems, ever. *wants to throw the stupid forum clock into the ocean* :pullhair:

This is what I get when I reset in my greeting at the top
Maybe reset your clock if it's not late evening, sd_dreamcrystal

Yes, it's going to stay there until I change them back to regular greetings. It was the best way I could think of to make sure people are aware of the clock change.

ah Ok

SDS, that greeting thing is fantastic!!! Well done!

Thats what I thought :) A super clever way to tell everyone!
Edit: Also clicking auto detect [changed 15 hours to 7] and then "save profile" fixed mine perfect bar a couple of minutes out which certainly dont matter.
-
OMG it's the correct time and the correct day! YESS my clock dance worked! I mean, thanks SDS!
-
Yay! Woot! I did something right today! *does the did something right today dance*
Er. I mean... I'm pleased. :)
-
I usually never have trouble fixing my clock, but I cannot get it on the right time now. When it shows me one time and tells me to add or subtract hours to get the right one I get a totally different time above. I'm lost
-
The auto offset link isn't working for you?
-
Awesome, the date and time are correct for me for the first time in months. Auto detect used to get the time right but was a day behind lol. :p
-
I got it now kinda. It's only two minutes behind.
What was happening was I was going to the offset and it was showing one time, and I was adjusting it to the offset time. The time under my avatar on the top bar though was different and everytime I changed it the one in the offset would be right but the other still was not. I was going through all kinds of weird times.
-
Yay!! It's fixed!! You are awesome sds!!!
lol, just noticed the greeting....Maybe reset your clock if it's not before late night before midnight, kezrob23
maybe just a couple extra words in there
-
Auto Detect didn't work yesterday or today. My time was always correct before yesterday. I even tried logging out and back in. Guess I'm just stuck with it being two hours behind. My greeting at the top says, "Maybe reset your clock if it's not just before 7am, tapdancer"
Edit: I just came back and the time is finally right again. It's 3:14 pm here, and that's what it says. Yay! :)
-
I reset my clock and date….and my greeting is telling me to reset the clock (even though it's correct). Did I do something??

SDS said it's just so people are aware that the time's changed and it'll go back later on the 2nd page.
