In the game there are challenge cards that you have to complete and the only challenge I haven't done is add a friend. However, nobody I know plays and it won't give me another challenge card until that challenge is complete. Is anyone on here playing that would like to be Pokemon friends?

Huh...I guess there are only 5 regular challenge cards at the moment. I wonder how many special Scorbunny cards there will be. I'm only on the second one.

Unfortunately all I can do right now is log on and get the rewards - part of my touch screen is dead and this game absolutely refuses to let me rotate the screen, so I can't get past level 30 because the basket is literally right next to that area :/

Does anyone know anything about the Master Chef levels? I mean, I'm doing them right now but what is the point conversion? The list on the info screen only says that "50 minimum" stars will convert into 30 master points. So does that mean that if I have 70 stars I will only get 30 points for it? I haven't been able to find any information online about it but apparently there's a Master Pikachu and a Master Eevee you can trade in the points for but they're 180 points each. If I have to get to the master levels 12 times to get enough points for both of them, that's going to take forever so I hope I can just get as many as possible each round and get them sooner. I want to see what they do.

And the answer is that no matter how many Master Chef stars you get, the max it will convert into is 30 points. So I guess next time once I get to 50, I'll just stop rather than pushing the level up to harder and harder ones.

So there's a challenge coming up to get Snorlax that requires teams. I have no idea how many people are allowed on a team or how it all works yet. I don't know if we have to find our own teams or if it will be like Pokemon Go where you just pick one to be on. The message did say you have to be on at team and cleared level 24 to participate. It starts up next week so there's still plenty of time to get there if anyone wants to start up.
Is anyone but me even still playing this game? :lol: I'm enjoying the new challenges and I like that you can get so many bonuses without spending any real money.

Okay, kids. It's time to catch Snorlax! Anyone want to be on a team or should I just join someone? I was thinking if I start a team I would call it something pony related like the Satin Slipper Pokestop or something. What do you guys think?
Edit to add: I guess there's a limited number of letters for the team name. But we could still call it something fun. If anyone wants to jump in, you only have to have beaten level 22 (they changed that from level 24) to join a team and get in on this. :) It goes until October 8th so there's loads of time--but not too much so get on it!

Okay, kids. I went ahead and created a team! I named it "Nerds Rule" because I am one and I do (and they only let me have 10 characters). My user name is Rhapsody and I chose a Celebi for the Pokémon mascot. The Team ID if you want to find me and join me in my epic quest to satisfy the hunger of the Snorlax is: W8A2T4XMZ6L2. It is open to everyone. Come one, come all (well, until the 30 per team max is hit but I don't know that will happen). :)

how do teams work?
i wasn't super great at the game, and felt like i was hitting a wall... but i really enjoyed it.

It's super easy. Basically, everyone on the team plays as they normally would but the stars that you earn go into a group pot so all of us benefit. So if I earn 27 stars and you earn 33, together we have 60. In order to get Snorlax to join your cafe, the team has to satisfy him 8 times. I've already managed the first time, but each time he needs more orders to satisfy him (much like leveling up the pokemon once they join your team) so if anyone wants to jump on board, that'd be awesome! I plan on trying to get him on my team regardless so even if you want to ride my coattails and just try to get a little further in your own game, I'm cool with it. Plus, you get presents from Snorlax as you satisfy him, some of them are the power up things and some of them are acorns. If you get enough stars, he starts giving you tons of the fruit tarts so it's worth it.

Yay we got Snorlax! Now to try for some of those bonuses. I'm pretty sure anyone still wanting to join in can jump on board until it ends October 7th!

Mimikyu is so adorable! And I love the Halloween theme going on right now.
So I figured it up last time, with 30 people on a team if each person gets 190 stars, we get all the things. Though there are people on my team that haven't even signed in since the Snorlax challenge started-not even to collect their prizes. I don't know how long the prizes stay available so they might lose out if they don't get on it. :huh: But with the other people who joined up, maybe this time we'll get farther because people will be helping from the get-go.

There's another team event starting up. Some of the people on my team haven't signed in in more than 40 days, that's since before the Snorlax challenge ended. So they didn't help at all with the Mimikyu challenge. Am I unreasonable if I remove them from the team to open up slots for other people who might want to actually play?
I know I said that I don't care if people just join the team to collect the prizes but these people aren't even signing on to collect their prizes and I know that there are people out there who'd at least like to collect the prizes even if they don't play any of the levels.

If they aren't logging in, they have no interest in the game... I think it's fair to remove them.

So I downloaded this on my Switch console as well (still keeping my phone version logged in every day to get those rewards but you can't transfer data between the two versions).
If any spots in your team become available, Pokeyonekenobie, please let me know! I'm actively playing on the Switch version now.

Well it won't let me take anyone off the team during a team event so I have to wait until it ends. I'll probably post as soon as I do that so you can try to get on. There are a bunch of people that haven't logged in in over a month so I don't even think they'll notice.
But Bandit's been killing it! :thumb: I'm hoping to have some extra time to play this weekend but with Nano taking up a lot of my free time I haven't had the time to play like I'd like. This four-day weekend I have should give me some playtime.

Okay so the next Team event starts next week. I am removing people from my team that have not been on in 50 days or more. So if that's any of you, sorry! If there's space when you get there feel free to join back up!
Maybe that's what I'll start doing before each team event, clearing out anyone who hasn't logged on in 50 days. This "culling" cut my team from 30 down to 18. I don't care if people are helping to play-I know some of the levels are really hard for people to get past, but even if they're not able to contribute I'd rather have people who at least want the prizes than people who are just taking up slots. Because who knows, maybe they'll finally get past that hard level and then be able to help out on the next one. People who aren't playing at all don't even have a chance of helping and they're not collecting the prizes either. And I know that life gets busy and maybe you didn't log in for this team event but are planning on jumping back in for the next one so I think 50 days is a decent amount of wiggle room. If it's not let me know and I'll figure out a different number but some people this time hadn't logged in in more than 70 days. :blink:

Somehow I got kicked off of MY team that I made. I did not leave it and now it says that it's full and I cannot join back in. I've sent a support request to the Pokemon team and I am not pleased with the situation. I couldn't have left because I was on the team, went in to play a level, beat the level and received a notice that I wasn't on the team anymore. And it's impossible to remove someone from a team during an event. So I don't know what happened or if they'll be able to get me back on. If someone can find out who the team leader is now, it would be interesting to know, as I didn't assign anyone else to be the team leader and I suspect (if it didn't automatically set Bandit as the leader since she's the high scorer at the moment) that it whoever it is somehow managed to hack the team and I'd like to tell the Pokemon support people so they can look into it. :cry:
One thing's for sure, once I get back in I will be changing it from public to private and requiring approvals after kicking out all the non-helpers. This is not cool.

Also, if I can't get you back in on time... I don't know if you have reddit, but sometimes I see some requests for people to join teams there. Maybe someone would let you on their team for a bit if you explained the situation? :/ I'm sure most people would understand. I'm not entirely sure how many of our members came from public, but I imagine just toggling on the approval thing might help out if still wanted it open, but some level of control.

Make sure you put in a claim with this site too, because I think they are the ones who can fix technical issues.

Thanks, Bandit. That's who I ended up putting in the support request with last night. I don't know if they'll be able to do anything because someone slipped into my spot and there's a 24 hour wait before being allowed to join a new team once you leave. But I didn't click anything to leave so maybe that will be something in my favor. We'll see what happens. I guess if I have to I can join a team to get Chansey (I'm so mad because we were so close to it when this happened and now I'll probably have to start over-but at least there might be time to make that happen) and then come back to this one after the event is over and we can fix some things. If we make it a team require approvals then if this happens again whoever is Team Captain (which appears to default to the highest ranking member when it isn't me--in this case it was luckily Bandit) can let people back into their spots after the wait time lets them join a team again.
So if anyone on here is in the Nerds Rule team, it would be a good idea to let us know and what your Pokemon Cafe user name is so we can try to keep people we can actually communicate with in the top spots.

My first response (which was just from pokemon.com) said that they couldn't help me, since it was an issue with your account. I more spun it towards you getting kicked out due to a glitch, but I had no way of helping you getting back in. :/

It happened right after I updated the game, which it made me do when I first tried to play it last night. So I think if you've updated and it hasn't kicked you out yet you might be okay. If not, maybe by the time it boots you they'll have figured me out and I can get you back in. This is a pain but at least it wasn't just me so I don't think anyone hacked the team or my account so that's good. I guess if all else fails I'll create a new team for the next challenge and start over. But I really liked the name so I hope it doesn't come to that. :huh: I think I may wait to see if they get back to me before joining another team, just in case.

Yeah, I imagine at best when the event is over, I'll get you back in... :/ I just hope maybe they'll address the issue for you and you don't completely lose out.

I did get a reply from the support team. They asked for information like my support number, my region, os, what happened in as much detail as possible, etc. so that they can figure out the issue. But they also said that due to high support claims at the moment it may take longer than usual to get an answer. I still cannot see other teams to join so I think the 24 hour rule is in effect which means I won't be able to see anything until around midnight here. I hope they get it figured out but it looks like it was a pretty wide-spread issue so who knows how they'll end up fixing it.

There's an in game message about it, so it appears to be fixed..
I'm asking if anything that could be done about the full team blocking you from joining. I doubt it. If anything, maybe it will be something they could consider in the future.
The international support team is so much nicer then the american one. lol.

When I request it says I can't join because it has had too many requests sent to it. Is that because there are 30 people or because there are actually a lot of requests right now? When I click on "View Team" under the friends tab it tells me that the team is set to private but I can search it by name and it comes up. I figured I'd need the team ID to find it if it was private. Weird.
ETA: If it won't let me back in for this round I can join another team and then get back in after. And now I'm wondering if I join another team if I will get all the prizes up to level 8 again...

As far as I know there aren't a bunch of requests. it's just set at it's 30 cap.
I would think that it should keep your progress and no dupe prizes, but who knows! >_<; It sounds like its just kinda oddball programming over all.

So the notice says that we'll have to re-join our teams but if we can't kick out anyone so that there's space for the people who were unjustly kicked out and had our spaces usurped by people who are just looking to get prizes without actually helping, how can I get back in? :sad: I hate that they didn't just override it and put us back in our rightful teams for THIS event only, with the understanding that by the next event we would have to have it back down to 30 members or the team wouldn't be eligible. I think that would be fair. And honestly, how many people on everyone's teams haven't been playing and wouldn't even know if they've been kicked off after this event? At least if they were removed right after this event it would give them time to find a new team by the next one.
We should definitely change it to be approval required after this. At least then there's a chance that anyone who gets accidentally bumped can have their spot back.
I want to get back into THIS team but I hesitate to wait until next week when they get it sorted out. Should I join a team for the rest of this one and then we'll figure it out afterwards? I haven't wanted to play because I didn't want to earn stars that weren't going to help out the team. I have enough for the maximum Master Cafe reward but still... I hate not knowing what to do about this. :wail:
ETA: I bit the bullet and added myself to another team. I have to earn 20 stars to get the Chansey on my team because this team already got it so I'll do that and once the mess is sorted I'll come back to Nerds Rule. :sigh: At least I was able to find a team that I didn't have to do all of it myself to get caught up.

Yeah I just got confirmation from the developer they can't help me getting you a spot back on the team.
They asked for you to contact them to make sure you had your data, but since you already did that I'm not sure that's necessary.
My suggestion is once you get chansey, and anything afterwards on the other team... leave a day before the event ends so you can come back right after the event.. because of the 24 cool down time.
I'm crossing my fingers they don't extend the event right away though.

Yeah I figured there wasn't much they could do because it would probably take way too much to get everyone back into their rightful teams. And I was wrong about only needing 20 stars. It was 20 stars to get to where the rest of the team was, but it kept track of where I was on Nerds Rule so now it lists Chansey as having 773/1080 to get it. So I don't get the prizes again. And from the looks of things, this team needs my help. There are 30 people but only 7 have contributed anything. And looking at their team list most people haven't even logged into the game for more than 100 days! So it's good for them and once this is over I'll come back.

Oy...managed to get Chansey at about 1 this morning. :faint: I got the last 60 stars that the team needed but 98% of them came from 1 star levels. There were 2 2 star levels and only 1 friend bonus...on a 1 star level. It was super frustrating not to get anything worth more when I just wanted to finish it off! But I got it so if they extend the team challenge maybe the other people on the team will help get some of the bonus stuff.

In about 3 days I'll have the ability to kick inactive members, and get Pokeyonekenobie back to being leader. (This can't be done when there is a current challenge)
If you'd like, you could join our team. When there are team challenges, we at the very least are able to get the visiting character.

I kicked people who have been off for 60+ days (and a 2 people with really low levels, that haven't been on in a long time too. Like they tried for a day or two then decided they didn't like the game.)

Yup, I'm back to being the captain. Thanks Bandit! I wish it would let me set a second-in-command so that if this happens again I can make sure it's someone from here. There's just no way to communicate with the more random people that have joined the team. I've made it public but requiring approval so that we can get more people on the team for the next one but once the team is full I'll change it back to private. I'll probably make a list of who's on the team so that if people get bumped by an update I can add them back in before adding new people.
