So Starbucks has, for a limited time a color and flavor changing unicorn frappucino. I just tried one. It did taste like candy but I wouldn't say I liked it! It's so pretty though :P
According to Starbucks:
"Here for a few days only: The flavor-changing, color-changing, totally not-made-up Unicorn Frappuccino. Magical flavors start off sweet and fruity transforming to pleasantly sour. Swirl it to reveal a color-changing spectacle of purple and pink. It's finished with whipped cream-sprinkled pink and blue fairy powders."

I didn't even know this was a thing! Is it overly sweet, or just right? I don't like most candies so I'm not sure I'd like it.

It was very fruity, more like berries than the supposed mango flavoring they used, though.
It was okay, but not something I'd go out of my way to get again. I only got one yesterday because I was right by a Starbucks during lunchtime.

I got one yesterday morning. The woman in front of me said she had been thinking about it, but was glad I was getting one so she could see it :lol:
So I was not a fan. It was pretty for sure, but tasted like berries and cream, and the tart was SUPER Tart and came at random intervals instead of being mixed-in. I had maybe 5 sips and then threw it away haha. Im glad I tried it, but will not be getting it again XD

But I bet I wouldn't like how it tasted...
I had a unicorn cupcake last weekend... it sort of looked like that. I wonder if it was inspired by that.

It doesn't taste like unicorns at all. I felt betrayed. Also, there's no caffeine. I expected better from something that looks like Princess Cadance in a blender.

That doesn't look like something I would want to drink. Too many weird ingredients.

I liked it pretty well. I didn't care for it when it was sweeter, but I did like it when it went completely sour. If it had stayed sweet (it's like a light cotton candy to me) I'd have tossed it. Once it went sour I kept reaching for it.
And it's pretty!
When we went they were making them nonstop back to back and also repeatedly taking phone calls and explaining over and over what the flavor was and what the ingredients are.

As someone with friends who are Starbucks baristas, please don't make them make this. It's hard to make, that stupid powder on top gets everywhere, and on top of that it's disgusting.

Ooh, interesting! I've never had coffee from Starbucks that I've liked ((give me a mcdonalds caramel frappe or 7-11's caramel macchiato any day)) but I'd give this a try just for how it looks. XD or rather, if I was with someone else who ordered one I'd steal a taste.

When I saw it advertised it said US, Canada, and Mexico only.

It doesn't look like something htat is MA friendly but im really curious to see if they have that here.

yes its a thing. Yes its a pain in the butt to make (you have to make it right because that blue stripe is more sour then warheads and you don't want to hurt anyone. And when you are busy..yeah), and yeah, they are completely sold out.
It was supposed to be here for 1/2 a week. They were sold out within 2 days.
And she confirmed its not MA friendly. We talked for a few minutes about other related things and had a good wth laugh over others but I wont get into that

I just read an article in which a barista was asking people to stop ordering them because he's never been so stressed out in his life and keeps getting sticky unicorn frap stuff all over him. Poor guy.

I tried one. It was ok. Mine was more sour than sweet. All I could taste was mango flavour and that crazy sour powder on top. It looked amazing but I was pretty disappointed with the flavour. When I mixed it it got a little bit sweeter but the sour notes remained dominant on my palette. I didn't finish mine. I'm glad I tried it but I wouldn't get it again.

Sadly sold out here. Keeping an eye out for locations I don't visit often to try asking, but it doesn't look promising.

I'm getting my niece one and I'm sure I'll get a sip. However, I'm not really into artificial fruit flavors. I'm a little scared.

It's super pretty but I haven't heard a good review, yet so I never got one.
*sigh* I really liked the Cherry Blossom Frap from a couple of years ago. I was hoping it would be like that.

I wanted to get one, and a friend of mine was gonna get my husband and I one Thursday but our local Starbucks was sold out :<
And without any money, or a car, and being with some friends all weekend there won't be another opportunity to get one, sadly.

I had it for the first time, yesterday. Eventually, I had another one that day. So two in one day....I deserved it, after going on a wild goose chase with places that were either closed or sold out, along with other irritations.

I've never had frapps before. I don't like coffee or coffee flavored things either. I do love how pretty it is though. I saw a video on msn about a barrista who is complaining, asking customers to not buy the frapps, because they are so messy for them to make. They get syrup and stuff all over their hands and sometimes their face if it splatters. I work at McDonald's and making syrupy things can be messy so I understand.

I really don't like coffee either, but if I do get around to trying this (or another drink), I'm told you can ask for it to be made with a "creme base" instead of the "coffee based" - then there's no coffee in it. That's my plan. :) (Actually it was MA's sister that told me. ;) )

No, because the only Starbucks in a 50 mile radius of me sold out the first day. I called them to see if they were participating and they told me they already ran out. Found out about a Starbucks in the Target by my dads, but they were out too after overhearing someone else asking for one. I would've loved to just taste what it's like. They should've offered this longer than 5 days just give everyone a chance to try it. I wonder how many threw theirs away because it was "too sour". (Goes off to get a caramel frappe)

There's no coffee in it at all from what the baristas told me (no taste either). Just like a vanilla bean frappuccino doesn't have any. That sucks for people who couldn't try it. You're not missing out on anything groundbreaking though. :(
I'd have been disappointed if it was out though, I know!

I managed to get a hold of this elusive drink and honestly it was really disappointing. I purposely got a small just in case I didn't like it. Glad I did, it was surprisingly MANGO, which I love mango! But then suddenly kicked to the ground with a bunch of sour sweet tarts flavor that took over my whole palet. I forced myself to finish it cause I hate wasting.

I thought it was gross. Glad I only got a small. The pink part just tasted like sugar milk to me. And the blue was sour, which was fine but not something I want to drink for a long time.

Starbucks is to expensive for me, so I'll be passing ^.^

My husband became obsessed with trying one (he failed to realize there was no coffee in it, despite me showing him a list of the ingredients) and we went to three Starbucks to find one that still had the "magical unicorn dust" available. He didn't like it very much, nor did I, although it wasn't awful and between us, we finished a tall. It is very pretty but very obviously full of dye.
If you want the experience yourself, get a vanilla milkshake, some mango syrup or purée (although it didn't really taste mango-y to me) and most vitally some sour Fun Dip or Pixie Sticks. Add the pink and blue powder to the milkshake, top with whipped cream if you like and sprinkle some more powder on top. Voilà!

Thanks for that info, that's a good idea. However, from what I heard Starbucks is overly expensive anyway and I wouldn't pay a bunch of money just to try it.
