Mine is just an eternal "I'm behind" reading list. Need to finish the Wheel of Time series. Want to re-read the Harry Potter series, and the new Cursed Child. Have the 4-pack Divergent series box set to read.

Hi,

I'm hoping to find time this summer to read a few books. Here are a few I want to read

The Siren by Kiera Cass
The Crown by Kiera Cass
The Heir by Kiera Cass
The Maddie Diaries by Maddie Ziegler from Dance Moms

I read the first three of those just this year.  Think my BFF still has my copies of The Crown series.  :)  Anyhow, I would recommend the Siren.  :)

I always have a lot of reading to do.  Usually something I have to read and something I *want* to read.

On my list of have to read:

World History Book for my CSET (I have a test in early June.)

Want to read list is too long, but:

Thirteen Reasons Why
The Outsiders (re-read)
Princess Diarist

are all recent purchases that I should really work on.  :)

I don't have a reading list but usually read crime novells during the summer and this year I have finnished four of those books this past week.. I am trying to get through all books by Anna Jansson and Arne Dahl. Fun stuff. Currently on the last book of Stig Larssons  Millennium trilogy.

I too don't have a reading list, but I've got collectors edition Fruits Basket manga books to read. In the books are two volumes from the single manga books.

Oh boy, let's see what's on my list right now...

School of Sight by Alisha Knaff- picked it up at a local convention the other day, signed by the author
Tithe by Holly Black
The Islands of the Blessed by Nancy Farmer (rereading)
Shanghai Girls by Lisa See
Stranger Things Happen by Kelly Link
East by Edith Pattou (rereading)
A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray (rereading)

For comics: rereading and hopefully this time finishing Elfquest

And for manga... finishing Jojo's Bizarre Adventure part 6 and 7, catching up on part 8.

And of course, the Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition manual I picked up at the con... it counts as summer reading. :P

I'm always reading. Nothing in particular for summer, just working from my Amazon wish list. I'm usually into historical fiction but have been branching out into fairy tale retellings, just finished Fairest of Them All by Carolyn Turgeon, not sure if I want to dive into her version of The Little Mermaid or not. I got sucked into the preview but then I read spoilers and I'm not sure how I feel about it.

Not so much as a summer reading list as an eternally increasing TBR. I currently have roughly 100 books on my Goodreads "to read". *sigh*

Wow so many interesting books. Has anyone read Midnight Pearls a modern take on the Little Mermaid?

Ditto.

A good friend of mine recently suggested that I might enjoy the Peter and the Starcatchersseries by Dave Barry / Ridley Pearson. It's a 'prequel' series that hypothetically explains the events that led up to the story of Peter Pan. While the series itself isn't bad, I just...can't get into it. It's like reading fanfiction, lol - I prefer the original Peter Pan story. If it needed a backstory, James Barrie would have written it. ;)

Peter and the starcatchers is an awesome book series.  Very fun and whimsical. ^.^

I am a fantasy/love story (non romance, non smutty) book reader.  Honestly, top of my reading list is rereading my favorite series, especially since some new books just came out.  In order of preference...

Cats Eye Chronicles - by TL Shreffler
(Kindle books, book one is free... https://www.amazon.com/Soras-Quest-Cats-Chronicles-Book-ebook/dp/B007V5XND8 )

Throne of Glass series - by Sarah J Maas

A Court of Thorns and Roses series - by Sarah J Maas (new book out!!!). Modern Fae rebelling of beauty and the beast, and hades/Persephone.  AMAZING!!!!!!!

And now under my SIL's request, the Abandon Series my Meg Cabot. Just finished book one...did not like the writer's style.  "Insta-love" is non-plausible and mega irritating.

Ponyfan - I read all of the Crown series and the Siren.  Good, but not FANTASTIC in my opinion.  The love story didn't completely swoon me.

I have a really small list, I want to re-read Johanna Sinisalo's Not before sundown and Lauren Beukes' The shining girls.
I will also read Beukes' Zoo city if I can, as I have trouble concentrating on reading.

I also recently got the Ancient Magus Bride manga volumes 1-6 and I might re-read those, too.

I finished The Siren. It was different that Kiera Cass other works but I really enjoyed the story. It reminded me a lot of the Little Mermaid fairy tale. I've also read 5 volumes of the Sailor Moon Manga and have started another book that was a recent addition to my reading list.

Yes, I have a reading list.

*points to big pile of Japanese books and articles.*

Reading for leisure has not happened for me for about five years now.

I read a lot, but I've never actually made a list. I just kind of mentally decide what books I want to read in no particular order. This summer I've been trying to read the Percy Jackson books again.

Yes. It's called 'Reading so that Storybelle doesn't drown under her TBRs'  It's going well though.

My faves of what I have read so far this summer and recommend to everyone

The Hate U Give by Angie Scott
Eliza and her Monsters by Francesca Zappia
One of Us is Lying by Karen Mcmanus
Newsflesh Trilogy by Mira Grant
My Lady Jane by Cynthis Hand

Books I can't wait to read
The Marsh King's Daughter by Karen Dionne
Final Girls by Riley Sager
The Dazzling Heights by Katharine Mcgee
Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard (I am so behind with this series...)

My goodreads TBR list says 330. May Celestia help me....
