Title: How Far Can Sunfading Take You?
Post by: NightGliderSA on July 12, 2018, 03:16:36 AM
Hello everyone!

Once upon a time in England there was this small child who clearly had deeply rooted issues regarding their possessions. And ensuring that everyone in their vicinity, and indeed in this case for ever after, knew that their things belonged to them and them alone. And so as evidence I bring to you Exhibit A:

Wig Wam:

And don't think that you can turn the poor guy around, because you can't:

Why Ella, why?!

Now, in a different part of the world there was another small child who felt the urge to embellish her ponies. They just were not decorated enough, oh no! Which brings me to Exhibit B:

Tootsie:

So my question to you all it this: can these ponies be rescued by sun fading? Has anyone successfully completed a project such as this? And if you have, please do share!

Replying so I can follow the thread mostly. I have a Peachy who is covered in black Sharpie on one side. I have always worked under the assumption inks like those belonging to Biro pens can be faded but Sharpie type pens cant

The only color I've had difficulty fading out is yellow hi-lighter. The sun is not very strong here much of the year in WI. You should have success with both in the sun. Just wrap up what you don't want faded and rotate regularly. Good luck!
