Title: Ponies at Work!
Post by: ZennaBug on October 03, 2012, 06:12:54 PM
So, I work in the kid's club at my local 24-Hour Fitness.  The kids do quite a bit of coloring (the girls, especially) and the pages are really pitiful.  So today, I printed out and made copies of several pages that I scanned from my MLP coloring book.  There was only one little girl who came in after I had finished, but the FIRST page she wanted was MLP.  :D  G1 lives on in the heart of little girls!

She asked me to help, so I colored the mirror... but the rest was mostly her.  She kept grabbing for the pinks and purples and claiming that they were the BEST colors.  XD  Yellow was another favorite.

And mine, I had a little help picking out the colors, so the wings aren't exactly the way I would have colored them... lol.  Also, I hate crayons.

My job is pretty awesome, lol.

Do you get to have ponies at your work too?  :)

I teach High School [math] and keep all my blind bag ponies on my desk. My students love it. Several have drawn me ponies. I'll have to take pictures tomorrow :)

I bought the coloring book specifically for her and scanned some of the pages.  High Flyer has a couple pages in there too.  :)

I have ponies at work, but only basic-size brushable G4s and G4 ponyville because anything else is too big.  I am a computer programmer so they help me DEBUG.

(yes I called them G4 ponyville because i dislike the term blind bag )

Well usually I don't have ponies with me at work but today I carried my blind bag Lyra around in my pocket all day.

So gorgeous :)

I work from home right now so yes I have ponies at work. Though sometimes they can be distracting. I just want to stare at them all day :)

Aww that's so cute! I'd definitely like to spend my days colouring in G1 colouring books! Unfortunately I don't have any ponies at work, I work in a Construction office with a lot of shouty men, I don't think it would go down well.

I work in government and I have several McD ponies in my cubicle. When the G4s were last at McD I lead an expedition of coworkers off to get ponies at lunch.

That's awesome Zenna :D

I have a big pink fakie that my friend at work bought for me on her way to work from a charity shop! I also have Twinkle Shine as I ended up with two of her so naturally one went to work and also my pen pot, Penny:

I have a Twilight Sparkle brushable on my desk (which I comb and play with on boring conference calls!) and a few of the blind bag figures - Roseluck, Minty, and Firecracker Burst.  They join some Hello Kitty dolls, a Kirby plush, some Disney Princess figures, and some Mario figures I've had since I was little. :)

I had a picture of Luna hung above my desk for a little bit, but my desk area is so public (I'm an admin. assistant/receptionsist, so in public view) that I have to keep things pretty sparse. I do keep a MLP coloring book in my drawer to color at lunchtime, though! :D

No job at the moment, so my pony website is my 'job!'  Yes, I have ponies at work; I have ponies all over the house!

My previous job was in the service center of a car dealership. I liked to rotate out brushable G4's each month.  Snow Catcher  ended up hanging around for two months because I like her colors so much. Here's a nice pic of her in front of a photo on my desk:

I had Wednesdays off. On a Thursday, I came in to find this:

People were afraid I'd be super upset, but I actually laughed my head off. Big tough guys thought they were going to make me upset about the pony, but I had a realization the moment I saw her hanging there... Those guys had to play with the pony in order to do this!

I don't have any out on display. However, I have found ponies in the hospital thrift shop before.....and I have had coworkers bring me in ponies. I like that much more. lol

I have the Applejack and Fluttershy blind bags underneath my monitor. They're perfect as I don't have to worry about the guys (I work with a lot of them) don't try and do anything weird  with the hair or something :)

Wish I could, but as I work in the lobby area of my job, and there are at least a hundred people trekking through the building every day, anything personal I have would likely be stolen.  Especially if it was a toy!  :(  We do have a chalkboard wall though so maybe I could draw some ponies on it.  :)

I keep a Pinkie Pie blind bag in my laptop back for "company"...she falls out at client meetings all the times...people are used to her now :P

I take a different pony to work each week for my desk - this week its Baby Racer!

I work in disability support and recently started doing "sleepover" shifts where I stay at the house overnight so someone is there in case a client has a problem/needs help in the night.  The first night I did a sleepover I was so nervous that I packed my spare g4 pinkie pie to keep me company.  I liked having her by the bed so much that I now take her on every sleepover shift XD.

I keep her in my bag until the other staff have gone home and all the clients are in bed, though, so nobody else sees her.  It's fun having her there, though  :)

Love the pony pen pot!  So much win.  :)

And it's ok to have ponies around big tough guys, I had unicorns all over my locker when I was working at my last job, with all guys.  I would hide unicorns around their stuff too, just to irritate them!  XD

I must have that coloring book!!!

I love you Zenna!!!!  Coloring ponies is almost as soothing as brushing pony hair!

I love coloring, I often join the kids at the table and color with them.  They like the company, I like to listen to their chatter (kids are hilarious), and I get to color while making sure that no little ones eat the crayons (we have one little boy who eats all the white ones).  Some day, I'll scan and upload the rest of my book, that's not even half the pages!  There are baby ponies in there too and I think some sea ponies.  I bought it specifically for the one page with Little Flitter.

shockingly, I don't, but my co-worker does!  She's got bright pink hair, and a few years ago someone left a McDonalds pony in the back room and we gave it her tattoo as a cutie mark and she's had it on her nail station ever since!

I have a peculiar work setup, it's a scungy old laptop but mounted onto something that best resembles the crash cart from an ER, and with a couple printers too.  (Long story.)  Anyway, it's very blah, so of course it's all full of personalized stuff: many, many photos of my son, unbelievably pertinent Dilbert cartoons, hilarious typos from the blissfully clueless gang at head office, ... and McPinkie Pie 2012, McFluttershy 2012, and McSparkleworks 2005. ^.^  Every so often a management-type comes along and suggests I "tidy up" my station, and every so often a few of my tchotchkes take a sabbatical for a day or two. :P  I work best in clutter.

I don't have any on my desk at work. I really want to, but I work in an optometry office that is an optical store as well, and my desk is smack dab on the store floor. People (including kids) walking all around it. I feel like the boss would say something. (We were just told we can't wear pants with pockets because that makes them jeans. Um, there are a lot of dress pants/slacks with pockets on them. Great.)

I used to carry Lil Honey Pie and Baby Stockings in my purse to high school. But I am going to put some ponies in my sewing/jewelry making room. I would like to think of that as my real workplace. My teeny tiny newborns are my all-time favorite ponies, along with the lovely persona custom I received in the last swap I did. <3

I myself don't have a place for keeping ponies but i've given my boyfriend a McD Pinkie Pie and my extra Firecraker Burst and glitter Rainbow Dash BBs for his desk. They hang out with his Tokidoki Unicorn and Chuck Norris action figure. Oh and the growing army of Lego mini figs.

My husband is a youth pastor and he works at an after-school program. I volunteer there 1 or 2 days a week to help in the office. Every year our church gives gifts to all the kids, since most of them come from low income families. The kids fill out a list with the kinds of toys they like so people know what to get them. I added My Little Pony to the list right after Barbies so the kids could mark that. They could always write in stuff, but I wanted it to be on the list so more kids would think of it. Last year I picked out a girl's list with ponies marked on it so I could buy them for her.

I also wear my Pinkie Pie t-shirt to youth group sometimes. Influencing the next generation. ;)
