I was thinking just the other day that Cutie Pops seem to have faded into obscurity pretty quickly. And that other one... La-Dee-Da? I think that was the name.
I don't see Lalaloopsy around much these days, either; not sure I'd call them "forgotten" just yet, though.
Splashlings suddenly came and went here in the UK, just long enough for my kid to move on to another fad. It's a shame as the seashell blind bags were seriously cute to open up!

Shibajuku dolls are sold in my local B&M so they’re still available here in the U.K
Lalaloopsies are plentiful at carboot sales here (or they were last summer).
But interestingly so were Shopkins and the newer LPS. I tend to take flooding a carboot sale as being a sign of the decline of a toyline, but I think Shopkins at least are still going strong in stores?
I think the thing is a lot of toys are faddish now, rather than inspiring long term commitment. I imagine a lot of the 'blind' toys like LOL Surprise will also vanish into the mist once the fad is over...even though right now they're thriving.
Ever After High seems to have vanished. They stopped making the dolls and the upcoming movie got cancelled I think? I'm sure they're still around in shops but they might have stopped making any new ones

I like Off the Hook, I'll be very surprised if they're remembered though. They're already starting to go on sale over here. They're cute but definitely seem like a "one line wonder" to me.
I miss Pinkie Cooper so, so much. I knew it wouldn't last long but I still miss that line. I loved them.
And yeah the POPs, they did fade into obscurity very quickly!! Those were odd. I don't think it helped that they had such a similar name to the Funko POP series either, that was pretty confusing.
I agree w/ EAH being forgotten in the UK - they never really took off over here. They were around but they were never anywhere near as plentiful as MH and they disappeared pretty quickly. Wouldn't call them forgotten in general sense, but they definitely are over here.

Something a bit different, might not count, but remember the MLP POPs or whatever? Like the mix and match kits? I always forget those were a thing when thinking about G4. I remember seeing a lot of hype about it on the official Facebook page, but I don't think anyone actually picked them up. Other lines had their fanbase, like FiM Collection and Funkos, even GoH, but POPs? Nope.
Something I think that could be forgotten over time are those Moj Moj toys. A lot of these "blob" and surprise toys are really taking over, pick one or two from the dozens listed on Amazon and I don't think people will remember them in a couple years. "Off the Hook", a bunch of clothes hanger-themed dolls (yes) came out this year I think, I don't think those will go anywhere. I haven't seen anyone talk about them.

I still mourn the loss of Mini Mixie Q's, they were fun. Although my inner grammar freak never understood why they had an apostrophe in their name.
Looking through my drawer of tiny toys the other day, I found some Charm U charms. I'd certainly forgotten them, took me ages to remember what they were called.

I guess it's just the midlands ;) Albeit it mostly shows up for some reason in commercial breaks for Miraculous on Disney.
On another note, I only ever saw the pony CMC commercial once. So I guess commercials don't reflect anything more than how much the company paid a particular channel to advertise a product...

They would look super cute on display especially now that we are getting close to Easter, and I can see so many customising options within them (like rerooting or body flocking). Too bad they are not available around here...
ETA: they are in a sort of sought-after collectible status now, but they were initially fashion dolls, and were short-lived and long-gone from the shelves, so I think Moxie Teenz might also fit the list. Too bad they are gone, I love them so much. In fact, they are the reason I started doll collecting back then (I didn't actually plan to start collecting back then, they just... invaded my shelves after I got to know other doll lines as well :P ).

Snap stars have a massive display in my Walmart. And they are clearancing.... if I had to guess, I'd say it's the glass eyes (those freaked my kid out) or that parents don't want their kids hopping on social media and getting involved in all that garbage....

Two of mine are still in boxes, I'm so happy I was able to buy the original 6 (the Wowee versions) again. I didn't get Alice and I am SO MAD I didn't get her when the online shop had her, or the new versions of Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella. I unliked the FB page a while ago because I was irritated by the lack of updates.

Rock Hard Fairys/Scary Fairys. They were EVERYWHERE In UK Argos, and Scary Fairys were in goth shops, but they disappeared without a trace.

In case of Cupcake dolls I wouldn't even consider them unpopular. They are just not a must-have or it-toy anymore because the gimmick is no longer new.
They are no longer talked about, I guess.
But EAH collectors are still active and trying to complete, making customs and so on.
Bella Sara is a good one for the list. They had trading cards, puzzles model horses, a website game and then one day all the Bella Sara stuff disappeared.

Oh, I see. Heh, I don't really understand this thread, I thought it was just for stuff that's already ended.
I thought the general idea of this thread was to record the names of more obscure toy-lines for future reference, to help people identify toys from the '00s, '10s and '20s. A bit like a modern version of Ghost of the Doll.
With that in mind, Freezestime, have you thought of maybe writing a little description of each toy-line explaining what it is, which company made it, and how to recognise it? That's the sort of thing I'd really find helpful when I'm trying to ID random charity shop finds.

Can someone please show me an official statement that Lottie is out of production? I could see nothing on their website and in fact I talked to them only last year at Nuremberg Toy Fair and they had various new products for 2020.

What about Glimmies? They're sort-of dolls - they're humanoid/animal fairies. I mostly only heard of them because there was an ENTIRE endcap at Toys R Us when I went to their closing sale, virtually untouched. It looks like the line was more successful in Europe, and had a second wave? I don't know if it's still going on, but I find them charming. Here's a comparison with a, uh, nakie friend, sorry for the dolly nudity. ;) (It's Molly from the MLP line!)

Very small line, only 3 different ones made it to production. Had batteries, A (Chloe) dog, (Millie) rabbit and (Sophie) cat were made. Came with a smaller item called a ‘thingy’. Which was/could be locked inside the compartment of the front. Erm... yeah...

Modern keypers with doll like heads. 3 produced
Totally glam stamps - 2008? - Moose?
Plastic accessories with stamps and ink, I also have a playset with various (very messy) plastic stamps in the shapes of shoes and bags, like a boutique.

Eggs with a scene inside, made small movements and sounds
Magic Krysalix - Zaph Creation - 2010s
Caterpillar like creatures with hair that came with their own chrysalis shaped playsets that transformed into different things. (Potentially still available through wholesale websites but not on shelves). Likely extra stock.

Small dolls, based around school, they had a movie on dvd.

Poseable dogs, cats and horses that came with earrings, clothes and brushable tails. Some of their names were Tara, Emilia, Nicole, Millie, Natasha (blonde dog) and Naomi. There were at least two playsets - a car and a fashion boutique.

I think a lot of newer toy lines are not collector friendly. Any sort of squishy plastic thing (e.g. Squinkies) decays quite rapidly. Ooshies too, I think will not hold up, any sort of squish filled thing (like I had an orbeez dog apple. I gave it to my niece and nephew. I do not know where or what it is now but I suspect it will be gross) or those fash 'ems I think they were called? Num noms too, they will split easily. And the actual jelly/foamy squish toys, they will not last. I don't mean the plush ones, the ones that are like a shaped food or whatever and you squish it in your hand and it slow rises.
I thought about collecting the 'girl' ooshies - care bears and disney and what not but decided against it because I think they will degrade very easily.
